Comparing this to meat versions of Chinese food, this was the best Chinese food I have had in so long. This is also the best vegan food I’ve had in forever. The menu is like a whole book, there are so many options. We got chicken fried rice, mushu pork, kung pao chicken and fried wontons. The service was fast, the workers were so nice and knowledgeable, the bathroom was sparkly clean, the booths were comfortable, and the decor was adorable. This is my new favorite restaurant. Their other location closed permanently but I would actually cry if this location closed. It’s delicious food, amazing service and a great experience over all.

I went here on a whim, because I love vegan food and Chinese food. I had the Lettuce cups, vegetable fried rice, and cumin “pork”. Every bit was delicious! It was a little odd that there was no music or background noise, since I was the only customer. However, the food was so good and came out so quickly it was barely an issue. I highly recommend!

Vegan Chinese food. Delicious flavors and I found the sweet and sour “chicken” to be unique as they used mushroom. This dish was my favorite. The cream cheese wontons also had great flavor, super crispy. The potions are large and great for sharing. The servers are nice and checked on us often. The restaurant looks nice, clean and has a decent eating area. The only thing I would say is it is pretty pricey but if you’re sharing then it’s decent.

The best vegan food restaurant we have ever visited, and we’ve been to a lot. Generally we are very disappointed by vegan restaurants in the LA area. But this place is great and we’ll certainly be back.
The dishes are all large family size, we ordered orange chicken, claypot eggplant, veggie brown fried rice with mushrooms, the fermented rice dessert, and oolong tea. Overall enough food for sharing among 4-6 adults.
The food came out quickly (within 10 minutes) after ordering, service was very prompt and hospitable, and the dishes were sizzling hot and tasty.
Also, the interior was simple but nice, with plenty of nice quality tables. I’m not sure how I feel about the metal chopsticks, but everything was great.

I had a very disappointing experience at House of Fortune in Chino Hills.
The website states hours that suggest the restaurant is open later in the evening. We arrived at 7:34 PM and were told we could not be seated because the kitchen closes at 8:00 PM. We tried to explain we traveled from far away and that we were celebrating a special occasion.
While we understand that kitchens close at a certain time, the timing posted online was clearly misleading and did not reflect the actual seating policy.
What made the situation worse was the way it was handled. The waitress was noticeably rude and seemed far more focused on closing and leaving than on customer service. There was a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism in how we were spoken to. Instead of feeling like valued customers, we were made to feel unwelcome and inconveniencing the staff. I will not go back.

I am not even vegetarian and this was the best orange chicken and chow mein I have ever had in my life. The staff was so sweet, and the portions were huge! I cannot recommend this place enough, drag your non-vegan friends and family here and change their perspective forever!

The star of the night was the orange chicken, and the dragonfruit iced tea. Hot and sour was a little too smokey (also, dont get the noodles in it, too filling), and the pineapple fried rice came unfried, maybe I didn’t look at the menu well enough. Overall a good experience because the service was VERY fast, and friendly!

vegan chicken is great! they do taste like chicken •͈ᴗ•͈ ♡ we ordered three cup chicken and spicy tofu pot. Oh it is all super savory and nice. But the overall price is on the high side die to covid 19 and all the logistical turbulence. We will come back from time to time.
Update on our 2nd visit: this time we ordered fish and pork (all veg based). The fish is absolutely amazing. Crispy crust and savory sauce. The shreded pork is ok. Amazing place. Definitely gonna come back again

Great experience for vegetarian food, wonderful presentation and great taste! Came here to take vegetarian friends to a fancy dinner and the variety of dishes here was excellent! They have a great array of savory and spicy dishes, especially love how crisp their mushroom tempura was. Had spicy dumplings, fried rice, general tso’s chicken, stir friend bean sprouts, and many other dishes. Service was friendly and informative and had a great experience eating here.
