I was a little worried at some of the bad reviews. We had an amazing time. Our server was fun & attentive. Bread was warm. Dinner was delicious! Been coming to the dells for too many years and this was my first time. Who doesn’t love a supper club?

Magnificent supper club right on the strip of Lake Delton. This establishment has been here for years and I finally took the time to fine here. It was so well worth the visit. Immediately upon entering, the host and hostess, whom I presume are the owners, all smiley and such, welcomed me (as well as thanked me for my patronage with I left). The atmosphere was cozy with families dining together, enjoying a birthday together, etc. My server was a sweet lady who often checked on me. The food though, was off the chain! I made it during happy hour and didn’t want to over eat as I still had a littke drive back to Milwaukee. I had the 8 oz. Sirloin topped with blue cheese. Using “Embers” as part of the name of their restaurant surely spoke for itself in the steak as it had a succulent char-grilled taste, perfectly medium-rare. The vegetable medley of cauliflower, green beans and carrots were perfectly al dente and buttery. The scoop of roasted mashed with chives was delicious. Topped with two wheat and caraway seed dinner rolls prior and a Capital Brew Oktoberfest, I was satiated and not overly full. I ordered a piece of carrot cake to go and my server said it was enough for 4 people. She wasn’t kidding. My wife and I shared it later and it was the best cake we ever had. I will be returning to try the ribs and prime rib. This place is a treat.

First time at House of Embers, came with my wife. We both enjoyed the food and service. We hit happy hour so the prices were excellent as well . I got the happy hour special blue cheese sirloin and it was fantastic. Probably had the best seasoning of any steak I’ve had at a restaurant and that’s including some higher end steak joints. The blue cheese topping was high quality and delicious. My wife also got a steak and she said it was seasoned well. Only reason I’m not rating the food five stars is neither steak was cooked exactly as we ordered them. I asked for medium rare and it came medium and she asked for rare and it came straight blue (cooked like 20-30 seconds on a side). We got the spin dip and crab cake appetizers and both were excellent. For desert she got the key lime pie which was great and I got the turtle sundae which was a bit odd but decent. Overall, we’ll come back for sure.

I really wanted to love this place because the service was excellent, and this was not our first time dining here, which makes this experience especially disappointing. The bartender working that night was absolutely amazing — nonstop hustle, making great drinks, and never slowing down the entire time we were there. It was honestly impressive to watch. Our waitress was also very kind, attentive, and took great care of us.

Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short, starting before we were even seated. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait in line for about 15 minutes, only to be told we had to wait or sit in the bar area to eat. That was frustrating and not what most people expect when making a reservation.

The food was a major letdown. We waited a very long time to get our food.

The French onion soup was completely inedible — the flavor was so off that it tasted like dirty water, and I couldn’t get more than a bite down.

The fries (pictured) looked and tasted like they had been dropped into a cold fryer. Pale, soggy, and lacking any crisp or seasoning.

The lobster was overcooked, tough, and rubbery, and the prime rib was so bad that I chose not to eat it at all.

We’ve had good meals here before, which makes this visit confusing and disappointing — what happened? The staff clearly cares and works hard, but the kitchen needs serious attention. I’d come back for drinks, but unless the food improves, I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

We had a very nice dinner for the five of us. The brandy old fashions were spot on and delicious. The baby back ribs were especially tasty. The grouper and soup were just ok. We had carrot cake for dessert and it was Really good. The server was attentive and friendly. The carpeting in the dining room was quite worn and dirty looking. We loved all the celebrity paraphernalia on the walls.

For our 36 anniversary Brenda and I spent a week in the Dells, our Anniversary Dinner was at The House of Embers. The staff is extremely friendly the decor and music was like taking a time machine back to the 30s or 40s and the music was just loud enough to hear it wasn’t loud enough to hamper conversation.

We had stuffed mushrooms and sirloin medallions with a caramelized blue cheese for appetizers they were fabulous.

Main course was petite filet and lobster (that’s kinda our normal anniversary meal) it was beyond fantastic.

Everything about that evening was epic, thanks House of Embers for making it so.

The food was really delicious and well cooked. The service was on point. The restaurant dining area is impeccable, old features with modern updates, live music at the patio. Large parking lot. Visit
House of ember and learn some of their stories in Wisconsin dells, and of course enjoy the food.

Facility was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. I tried two dishes. Fettuccine Alfredo with bacon and a twice baked potato. The two dishes were so over spiced the taste was ruined. Would I come back? No. The wife’s and child did not finish their dishes and did not take home left overs.

Pretty darn good. Yes a little spendy. Beware, the scallops do have bacon even through the menu doesn’t say they do.

House of Embers food is definitely 5 star. The ribs literally fall off the bone and had perfect taste. It’s everything you want when you eat ribs.

The 6oz South African Lobster tails were excellent. They were tender, juicy, and quite large unlike the lover tails you get at chain restaurants. We were very happy. We wanted to add those onto our meal instead of the 5 oz Canadian Lobster Tails. To add those on is an up charge of $29.99. We asked how much it would cost to add two of the South African Tails on. It was $54.99 each but an entire meal which included 2 tails, soup or salad, potato and bread was only $99. We were confused at why it would cost more to add on two tails which didn’t make sense so we just got the whole meal for $99.

We both had the beef and barley soup. We didn’t care for it but it was still decent. The veggies that came with my tails were really good.

It was busy and the service was kind of slow but we did get taken care of.

The atmosphere reminded us of a cheap Chinese restaurant with shower curtains randomly hanging up. LOL. We got a good laugh. But it was nice and we enjoyed it.

I had the Blueberry Moscow Mule. 5 star all the way. It was tasty. The firecracker shrimp was really good too.

We will definitely go back and we high recommend giving them a try.
