I was missing their jumbo spicy garlic shrimp and had to get some among other favorites with friends. The food is delicious as always and the staff very attentive and efficient. My water never went empty and the service was quick. They even packed the leftovers for us. I can’t say I’ve had a dish i didn’t like, so try it all and the French toast:)

“Very authentic Hong Kong–style café. I was delighted to see all the classic Hong Kong signature drinks on the menu. Every dish we ordered tasted great. I’ll definitely be back!”

Located in the Houston Chinatown, I loved this place, it did not have a huge menu sometimes typical of Chinese restaurants but still had plenty of options. I was there for the fried rice, got the chicken and salty fish fried rice, great portion, excellent taste and flavorful.
Ended up getting a take out as well of Curry Chicken of Rice which was juicy, well balanced and with plenty of chicken and a take out of Shrimp and salty fish fried rice.
Give this place a try for sure if in the area, the service was friendly and efficient too. Located in a small strip mall with enough parking.

Food is great! Menu can be overwhelming even after few times you go there. So many tasty options. With three dishes you can feed 3. We order beef with broccoli, the house special noodles (spaghetti style -egg) and a sea food combo with flat noodles. Right balance of spice and taste of the ingredients. Service is fast and attentive. The restaurant itself is not sophisticated and decoration not exiting, but good for purpose. Good value for your money.

This place is my new favorite hk cafe place. The hk cafe near by is pretty good too but they don’t have as full of a menu as house of bowls. Staff here is next level amazing. Cannot wait to go back and try more dishes, only thing we didn’t like was the hk lemon ice tea. Food is amazing so that’s all that matters. The shrimp in the egg and shrimp is a bit on the small side and frozen but taste overall was still great.

This place is straight out of Hong Kong! The food is great, the staff are wonderful, and oh my goodness did I mention the food is great? I got some beef curry brisket to share with my wife with some Cantonese French toast. My wife got a honey tea and I got the 香港 milk tea. We followed it up with some fish balls and egg drop soup. Everything was amazing and I cannot recommend you try it enough if you’re in Houston.

I’ve been coming for many years, order the same food items,
, and always ask for same waitress
Beef chow fun no vegetables, extra meat and sauce, fried sole of fish, chicken wings. The best and the owner is always there. They know everything about my order

This was our first time here and honestly it’s already our favorite Cantonese spot in Houston. Every dish we tried was amazing and the portions were very generous. There were four of us, and we each picked a dish to share. The bbq pork and roasted duck combo with rice was my favorite. We also had the Yang Chow fried rice, so good. And the spicy shrimp with pan-fried egg noodles were to die for. Great flavors, generous portions, and just a really good Chinese restaurant in Houston. We’ll definitely be back soon.

The food was great—we ordered three dishes and enjoyed every one of them. If you’re into spicy, the Spicy Beef with Rice is a solid pick. The Shanghai Fat Noodles (F16) were fresh and probably our favorite of the bunch. The Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs didn’t disappoint either.
The atmosphere was nice, but the service could use some work. Our server was… efficient, let’s say—but definitely on the abrupt side, especially compared to the friendly service we’re used to in Chinatown.
We paid in cash, and the change was set on the table. About 30 seconds later, while we were still sitting there deciding on a tip, she swooped back in and took the change. Apparently, she made the decision for us—bold move!
All in all, the food was great, but with so many excellent options in Chinatown that offer both great food and warm service, we’ll probably explore elsewhere next time.
P.S. The french toast with sweetened condensed milk was quite good!

We stopped in for lunch during a day exploring Chinatown. The service was quick and friendly. The food was all enjoyed by my family but they weren’t able to accommodate my gluten allergy so sadly I could not partake. The spicy shrimp entree was enough for two and thoroughly enjoyed! The egg rolls were ok but not anything to write home about, I would try another appetizer next time. The restaurant was decorated nicely. Great spot for authentic food!
