This place is a true gem, with a great vibe. Authentic cuisine and great drinks. The food was delicious, our server Kimani was great! Music was tasteful and not too loud. Decor was modern tropical. Highly recommended if you are in to Afro Carribean cuisine or you want to try something different.

Today was my first time going out in a long while with a girlfriend, and we had the best time. The service was truly 100/10 — absolutely amazing. We loved everything, with choices that tickle every taste bud.
My best friend is Haitian, and she said the black rice you may not see in the picture because we asked for it afterward and pikliz were the best she’s ever had. She even started dancing after tasting the lamb chops!
My steak was perfect!!
Everyone was so caring and made sure we had the best experience. I will definitely be coming back.

Imani was the best server ever serious impeccable service! Food was amazing vibes were elite and the playlist was chefs kiss. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back as long as im in the Jersey area. I see why they were awarded for one of Jerseys best restaurants. 100/10!!!!

Very nice place. Nice atmosphere and good music. I had the fried pork as my appetizer and the fried chicken as my meal. They were both very good. The chicken was very hot and crispy and the flavor was really good. The Mac and cheese was some white people mac and cheese but it was still really good and flavorful, the greens were really not good, they had no flavor to me. Really love the plating. The bar tenders could have checked on us more, our drinks were low for a really long time before I had to get their attention for another drink. Otherwise their service was good and they were nice. We had a really good experience but unfortunately my friend and I woke up with a really bad stomach ache and both ended up on the toilet the next morning . They told us there was a 20 percent auto gratuity on the bill and I was surprised because I was only a party of 2. This just shows black people don’t tip and if they do it’s not good enough. I am in the industry so I still tipped on top of grat.

The restaurant is small and lively. The music was great and upbeat. Our server Imani was attentive and made sure our drinks and meal were excellent. The red snapper was exceptional!!! The fried chicken, was good, but nothing extra special. The rum cake was absolutely delish!!! Will definitely be back!

House 157 did not disappoint. From the start, the music was vibing — loud enough to set the tone but definitely not ideal for deep conversation. The atmosphere was stylish, the staff well-dressed, and our waitress, Tiana, took great care of us.
The food was excellent. The calamari was crispy and flavorful, and I ordered the whole fried red snapper, which was perfectly seasoned with black Haitian rice that tied everything together. My date had the grilled red snapper and really enjoyed hers as well. She even said I picked a great spot — so that just goes to show, I have good taste.
The drinks were smooth; the Caramella Romagna was a hit, and the green tea shots were deceptively strong. Overall, great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. The DJ kept the vibe going all night. Bill came to about $190 for two, and it was absolutely worth it.

It was the first time eating here. Food and drinks were good. I had the chicken and shrimp. Chicken was a lil dry maybe over cooked, shrimps was very small. My lady had the sweet and sour chicken that’s was amazing good. Everything else was delicious. I would definitely go back here to eat.

For our entrees, we had the lobster mac and cheese, lamb chops with jollof rice, and the Jamaican shrimp and chicken with rice. Every dish was cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented.
To complement our meal, we enjoyed a Beach Party cocktail and two glasses of Josh red wine, which paired wonderfully with our entrees.

Oh my goodness, this place was magnificent. First you walk in to the reception area were i was greeted with a smile and taken care of immediately which we arrived 15 mintues from our reservation. Then to the beautiful decorations picture perfect. Now the food was fantastic, all of us enjoyed our meals. The server we had was very attentive and recommend plenty of options with food and drinks. I was celebrating my birthday and I had a fabulous time here. Will definitely be returning soon. Oh and I can’t forget about the great music that was being played. We had such a wonderful experience coming here. Our drive here was a 1hr and 5 mintues. It was definitely worth it.
