Not just a friendly face behind the bar but a smart thinker, deft shaker, and creative mind. The seasonal cocktail specials were on point, covered the range from tart to sweet and made these two revellers very happy. The music on Tuesday is great we hear, even though we were too late to listen to it. Great place. Must come back.

Great beer selection! I have discovered some of my favorite beers here. They come from far and wide, not just in town. Blind Pig’s brews are really good quality, too. The place is super vintage but taken very good care of. It’s usually busy during normal bar hours, but I just visited during a weekday happy hour, and it was really quiet and nice!

The hounds rest used to be the blind pig. The new ownership has done a fantastic job keeping the local charm while making tasteful updates. The aesthetic is old English and it’s on point.
I can’t say it enough. I love their support of local breweries and the community. They participate in so many events and even host events. I consider this bar whenever I want a night out or just a quick drink with friends.

Very poor made drink. When I asked the bartender to remake or make me something else she responded with “I can charge you for a new drink”. I have been coming here for years and never experienced that level of unprofessionalism. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied as I didnt tip and left immediately after. I go to a bar to get alcohol not juice. Please correct this mistake immediately….embarrassing for you guys…

Cool bar. The bartenders are nice. I enjoy going to Irish Music Night there on Wednesday nights. The atmosphere in the evenings is good. I hope Hounds Rest is able to get Riggs Hefeweizen back on tap. Good bar to visit in Champaign.

I came in a few months ago with a couple of friends, Craig was super nice and accommodating. When I came in a few nights ago as well, he remembered me and had crafted my preferred drink when it wasn’t common, I’m super impressed by his service and cocktail creations. Absolutely would recommend, such a nice environment with wonderful bartenders.
