Our dinner was good. This was our first time to Hotaru and we needed a little guidance about the hibachi menu. While our waitress, Naomi was very nice, she didn’t provide much guidance and walked off during our drink order and only came back when I called to her. We were looking for not just good food but an experience. The spring rolls were delicious. We ordered the shrimp and scallop hibachi with fried rice. The shrimp was overcooked. We also ordered pad thai. It was good. It was a dish that 2 could share. We were really interested in learning about the different types of sake but didn’t get a chance. We will be back to give it another chance. We want to try some sushi and try sake.

Visited out of town and stumbled into this sushi spot inside a dining hall. Sushi was pk but the Poke was horrible. We couldn’t eat it because it had a foul fishy smell. Could have been day old tuna or maybe not so fresh because it was the end of the night but we were very disappointed in the quality and freshness.

Been coming here for the past year or so. Overall 9/10 times the food is spot on. No place is perfect. Sushi is always amazing. Sometimes the place is super busy other times not as much (like tonight I’m writing this review). Love the food and atmosphere.

The food is great, but the owners are definitely not involved. Food took over an hour and half and the two servers were overwhelmed, but very nice. They need more help, maybe a hostess, or additional server.

Expensive! We love sushi and came in here to enjoy some fresh fish but ended up with the spicy chicken due to the cost, $20 for a single roll is Nobu pricing. The spicy chicken was pure heat, not flavorful heat. We did decide to add an order of salmon sushi since I couldn’t eat my meal and that was excellent. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was nice but it was uncomfortably cold. The restroom was nice and clean.

We popped into Hotaru for dinner recently, which was a very pleasant surprise! I’ve been on the hunt for a decent Sushi spot in the area for months, to no avail. Now I’ve got a solid spot!!!

There was only two of us, so a spot at the Sushi Bar was immediately available. The restaurant is fairly small, but good things come in small packages right! Right!!!! You may experience a bit of a wait during peak times, I’d say it’s worth it!

I opted for the Sushi, while my guest went with the Filet & Lobster. Both were extremely good! The steak was cooked perfectly, as was the Lobster. We did end up waiting a bit on my Sushi as several orders were placed directly prior to our ordering. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather wait for good food than have mediocre food rushed out to me. So be patient on your visit, it’s worth it!

I will DEFINITELY be visiting Hotaru Sushi & Hibachi when I’m craving Sushi in the future. Seriously people, I travel a lot and Sushi is my go to. Hotaru is the best I’ve had in the area and absolutely competes with some of the better Sushi I’ve had!

My husband and I went on a date last night and tried Hotaru for the first time. We will definitely be back. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and very nicely decorated.

We shared a bottle of red wine and started our meal with the Spicy Edamame, which was the perfect amount of spice for us. Some may think it’s a little too spicy, but we loved it! We tried 3 of their rolls: the San Antonio, the Leon Springs, and the Dominion. All three were delicious!

Next time we will get a roll or two, but we also want to order one of their hibachi dinners to try. And there will definitely be a next time!

This is the best hibachi I’ve had in a very long time. We’ve come back several times already because it’s just so good. I got the hibachi teriyaki steak with fried rice. My daughter tried the spicy salmon roll and loved it. Delicious! You will love it here. The place is very cozy and super cute. I like the decor and the service has been fast and great so far!

We absolutely loved this place. Waitress was amazing and knowledgeable on the food. Had music playing but wasn’t too loud. Food was outstanding. We ordered two sushi rolls and hibachi dinner. Shrimp and chicken, and teryaki chicken, it was delicious. Will be a frequent date night place.

Unfortunately I would not know how the food tastes. My husband was served 40 minutes before I went ahead I told them to cancel my order. Total bummer. No dinner for me.
