Had a great meal. We sat out on the beach deck near one of the fire pits. The staff where all great very friendly and attentive. The owner was walking around taking with everyone, he gave us some great recommendations. The food was excellent, they have a lot of great flavors for their wings. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we are in CT.

Booked an airbnb for a weekend in New London and it turns out the owner also owns Hot Rod Cafe. We decided to check it out and I’m glad we did. Ended up eating way more than I expected. Had the garlic lemon pepper wings, lumpias, Philly cheese steak wrap, the Caribbean burger, and a few Tox Sours, which is a local brewery.
They have seating area in the back, which overlooks the water. Very chill atmosphere, our waitress was super nice, the place is clean. Needless to say, this will be a mandatory stop on my next trip to NL.

A surprisingly delicious and well-priced gem in the New London downtown area. I was expecting exorbitant prices for the food and drinks, but was served two well-made cocktails for only $8 per drink. The restaurant is also known for its wings, so I had to order a 6 piece Thai Chili plate of wings. They were INCREDIBLE. The chicken was tender, and the skin was crispy with a generous portion of delicious sauce coating the outside. They have tons of flavors, so it’s really the eater’s choice. I also had a bowl of their evening’s specialty soup which was a seafood chowder. It was also delicious and well-priced. Overall I only paid $40 for two drinks, wings, and a bowl of soup, which is pretty good in my opinion. The only con I can think of is that the bartenders seemed hesitant when I asked for call drinks that weren’t on their menu, and they had to look up the recipe before making it. This was understandable however because the majority of the customers were ordering pitchers of beer, not classic cocktails.

Great spot for wings! Large variety of flavors to pick from and the staff is very friendly! The original wings, honey bbq, and old bay rub are delicious ! Our server, Ryan was consistently stopped by to make sure we had what we needed. Can’t wait to come back and try other wing flavors.

Honestly the best wings in the area hands down. Wings were perfectly crispy and the sauce was not too much of anything. It was the perfect flavor. I highly recommend the Chipotle BBQ wings, but everything was also great. Good atmosphere and awesome view of the waterside. Staff were exceptionally friendly, especially our waitress Amanda. The sanitizing station at the door was also a nice touch. Will definitely be stopping by again.

This place is mad cool. S/O to their staff. Everyone from the walk in to the walk out were kind and helpful. The wings are very good. Food was fresh and hot. I would like to go back during the summer when I know it’s really a great hang out.

Atmosphere is your typical bar, but it is on the other side of the railroad tracks from the water and they do have a deck to sit on.
The food was very good and reasonably priced and sized.

Went here for happy hour and was extremely disappointed. The sign on the outside of the restaurant says $10 pitchers and half priced wings specials. Then after we sit down the waitress says that happy hour special is only half priced wings, no pitcher special. Then after we get the bill she says that the half priced wing deal is only for orders of 10 wings, not 5. This was the biggest rip off and lie. And the wings aren’t even good at all.
