This place just opened by our house. Such a fun restaurant! The food tasted good. Only suggestion would be to add more sauce/dip options. My kids loved being able to get cotton candy (which they will make for you-fun to watch ). I’d say pricing is comparable to other Hot Pot/Korean BBQ places. Pay one price for all you can eat style dining.

Amazing dinner! We moved from Florida to Utah a little over six months ago, it seems like hot pots are still taking route here as a dining option. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the selection was great. We’ve been to quite a few hot pot places all over the country, and the broth here is some of the best we’ve ever had!

For those that might be unaware, this is buffet style dining, you pay a flat price and it’s all you can eat. In Hot pot restaurants, you are cooking your own food, but it’s nothing difficult, you just stick it in the broth or on the grill and let it cook, super easy and hot and fresh. You can get the grill or hot pot separately, but the combo with the grill and the hot pot is only like four dollars more.

Whether you get the grill or the hot pot or both, you could access to a large bar of ingredients, vegetables, meats, rice cakes, seafood, noodles, etc. You can order all of the sliced meat you want and they bring it out to you. They also have a selection of prepackaged drinks and soda fountain drinks that are included in the price. They have a small dessert section and an ice cream cooler that is also included in the price.

Amazing place and the staff is incredibly friendly, definitely recommend!

Ogden’s New Flavor Explosion
Tonight, we had the pleasure of trying Hot Pot X, the newly opened all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ spot in the Country Hill Plaza in Ogden, UT.

We arrived at 5:30 PM and were seated almost immediately after a very short wait—maybe two minutes!

The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) format for Hot Pot, Korean BBQ, or a combination of both. We chose the Hot Pot, priced at $31.95 per person, which conveniently includes a drink.
Broth: Out of the six options available, the three of us chose the Pork Bone Broth, which was absolutely bursting with flavor—it’s highly recommended!

The selection was excellent, featuring Sliced Beef, Sliced Fatty Beef, Sliced Lamb, Sliced Chicken, and Sliced Pork Belly.
Add-ins: The assortment of extras was impressive, including rice cakes, various tofus, noodles, and a good variety of seafood.

⭐ Exceptional Service from Brittnee G.
I also want to give a special shout-out to our server, Brittnee G. She was truly amazing! Even as the restaurant quickly became very busy after we were seated, Brittnee was super polite, very attentive to our questions, and kept us perfectly stocked with both broth and meat throughout our meal. Exceptional service really elevated the experience.
Verdict

I can confidently say that this was the best-tasting hot pot I have personally had. It easily surpasses other spots we’ve tried in the area, such as Hey Hot Pot and Mr. Shabu in Salt Lake City.
The total bill for our party of three came to about $120 with tip.

This place is going to be extremely dangerous for us, mostly because it’s only about 10 minutes from home! I highly recommend everyone give Hot Pot X a try—you will not be disappointed!

A Note for the Restaurant
If the team at Hot Pot X happens to read this: My wife and I would absolutely love it if you considered adding sweet potatoes to your hot pot ingredient selection!

This was my first time trying hot pot (though I’ve had Korean BBQ before), and the broths were flavorful and delicious — we tried both the pork and spicy ones.

One surprise was the shrimp — the menu showed them shelled and deveined, but we received whole shrimp with heads on. Not a big deal, but it’d be great if the menu photo matched what’s served. They also weren’t fully deveined, which gave a bit of a grainy texture — not my preference.

A small note: my boyfriend wanted to keep his broth reduced for a richer flavor, but it was refilled with what seemed like plain water. Totally understandable if that’s to protect the pot, but refilling with broth instead would keep the flavor consistent.

I did miss the banchan (traditional side dishes) usually served with Korean BBQ — even a few small ones at the bar like mu saengchae or jangajji would be a great addition. A fried egg add-on would be nice, too!

Overall, we enjoyed our meal and were happy to find another great hot pot option in Ogden. We’ll definitely be back!

Worst korean bbq Ive ever had. For the same price you can get 10 to 20 more meat selections plus appetizers and sides at places like KPot in Salt Lake and now recently opened in Layton that also serve sushi for same price. Even Oumbu in Layton has more selection on their lunch menu than this place does for dinner and its half the price.

I have never had bulgogi where it comes out as chopped beef, not marinated, with sauce on top. Usually it comes out premarinated and you taste the seasoning well after its cooked. Because it wasnt marinated the beef was tough. Even the beef short ribs were plain, not marinated, and very tough. Dont go for Korean.

The hot pot experience is standard. Nothing special.

Over priced for the selection and quality. Go to KPot or Oumbu in Layton.

Our waitress was great and attentive. However, the food was a miss. There are about 8 meat options for the KBBQ. When we got there, they didn’t have any angus steak. Weekends are dinner prices and for what we paid, it’s not worth it. My sister had some mushrooms but one was very bad that it had a moldy taste, in her words. Compared to other hot pots that we frequent in SLC, their veggies and toppings for the hot pot didn’t seem to be in controlled temps. The food area seemed too warm to hold the cold items.

I absolutely loved it here, it was my first time to be honest to any hot pot style restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was epic and just over all a very amazing experience. I ordered their hottest broth, asked for them to make it Korean style and less americanized. They were, and rightfully so, worried I guess. They don’t know me maybe my next experience, they’ll turn up the heat. I got this!
