Hot Bagels in Lakewood is mamash one of those places that just does it right. You walk in and you already know you’re not leaving empty-handed — the smell alone is a whole yesod. If you’re a bagel person (and let’s be honest, who in Lakewood isn’t?), this spot is a real go-to.
First of all, the bagels are fresh and legit — warm, flavorful, and with that proper bite. Not the kind that feels like a roll with a hole; these are real bagels. And if you like variety, you’re in good hands. Plus, their sourdough breads are also a big deal — you can tell why people mention it as a favorite.
What I love is that it’s not just bagels — the place is set up for a full breakfast/lunch situation. They’ve got a nice selection of spreads, salads, and grab-and-go items, so whether you’re picking up something quick or feeding a whole chevra, you can make it work. Also, the drinks fridge is stocked like they understand Lakewood mornings: coffee, juice, iced coffee — whatever it takes to become a functioning human.
Service is generally quick and efficient, especially if you order ahead (which is a smart move when it’s busy). It’s a popular place, so yes, it can get crowded during peak times — but that’s only because everyone else had the same brilliant idea to come here.
Bottom line: fresh bagels, great sourdough, solid menu, and a reliable Lakewood breakfast/lunch stop. Highly recommend — just be warned: you’ll say you’re “just getting one bagel,” and then somehow you’re walking out with a whole bag and a couple “extras for later.”

Great spacious place! Good fast service, got my food quick, great selection, there’s also a lot of different types of challahs, some that I never knew existed, it’s nice and clean, and overall had an enjoyable breakfast!

Wow! Unbelievable food!! I got the breakfast special which includes eggs, bagel, hash browns, salad and a coffee. Everything was amazing! Eggs were lightly done (the way I like them) so if you like it well done let them know beforehand. Hash browns were very good (not as good as korns but better than bagel nosh). Some wanna say the bagels are the best in town, I don’t fully agree but its definitely up there Steve! Although the bagels are a bit small. Also they can be a little more generous with the butter. Coffee was very tasty. The donuts are pretty good as well. There is parking in the back besides for the street parking in front. Great service and friendly workers. Nice spacious seating area. And a fish tank to watch as you wait to order. Clean (usually) bathrooms. Overall great place!

My onion bagel was dry and plain. The price was for a “bagel with spread”. Then he charged me $1.04 for barely a smear of butter on my dry plain bagel $1.04 extra! Look at it! $1.04 and that’s all the butter I got. Strongly do not recommend.
