First Gold Gaming Resort is a Deadwood Casino as well as place to eat in Deadwood, SD. We are honored to be established and built near the very place miners first struck gold in Deadwood. Since our opening in 1990, we’ve grown quite a bit and are still independently owned and operated by our founder to this very day. We are one of the best Deadwood restaurants in South Dakota. We stayed by next door at the Travelodge and they had an add for this place for a $2.99 breakfast special of a half order of biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, 3 sausage links, and a cup of coffee for breakfast running till 11am. We got up early enough to take advantage of this special, my husband was feeling pancakes, I got the breakfast special. Sorry for forgetting to take pictures before we started tearing into it but it was delicious, my husband ordered 3 pancakes thinking it would be just enough to fill him up. Boy we were wrong, they are not just plate sized but overhanging the plate lol, one pancake would have been plenty, each pancake is probably 4 regular pancakes combined the gravy was delicious and not from a can. If you are in the area, definitely go eat here!!

We stopped for breakfast on Monday morning after wrapping up our vacation in the Hills. Only complaint to be had was the wait time to be seated, but the majority of the crowd was older/retired and I dont blame those folks for taking their time. Food was delicious. We both had the .79c special. 2 eggs, toast, hash browns and 2 strips of bacon. The bill was literally $1.89. The catch is that you spend $100 gambling while you wait to be seated… We will be back again. Great server, cozy and clean establishment.

First red flag: no one in deadwood has heard of this place. For a REASON. We just wanted all day breakfast And had to pay $28 for inedible food. We all left hungry and disappointed. They’re robbing people left and right.The restaurant may be better when serving a normal menu and not a buffet. The staff is great and friendly though!

The food is decent. The service is extremely slow. You might only see your server twice during your meal. They forget food in your order, then charge you extra. The greeter at night can’t smile or greet. The greeter in the morning tried shorting me the wrong change.

Went tonight for the $12.95 T-Bone wondering “what’s the catch?”. We were seated quickly and placed our food and drink order by friendly wait staff. The steaks, baked potato and asparagus came within a few minutes. They were cooked to perfection and it was delicious. I guess I need to work on my skepticism because there was no catch. Great food, great price. We will be going back for breakfast and probably dinner again tomorrow!
