At Hopyskitchen we offer a family-oriented enviroment with flavorful Caribbean food and more. Feb. 23rd 2025, was our last day open. Family lives changes moved us to close our restaurant. We are so thankful for all of you dear customers. I will print all your messages and comments and will hang them at my wall as a great memory. It was awesome to have you all!..God bless you❤️

A pure delight and pot of gold at the end of the rainbow experience. My wife and I made the 30 minute drive down HWY 63 blessed with blue sky and light traffic.
The experience with the family restaurant was a celebration for our palate. We had authentic family and small town love shown to us by the owner, workers and patrons of the restaurant. Customer service is something you can tell that establishment prides themselves on and it just felt organic.

We heard about this place from a friend and we were excited to try it out.
The restaurant is newly renovated and very clean. Lots of sunlight and live plants to make the space very airy.
The service was courteous and attentive.
The plantain appetizers are great tasty bites. We ordered the Res Guisada, Mofongo, and the Spring Rice. All the food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Make sure you get dessert, the Tres Leches cake was divine, best I’ve ever had. We yummed up the cake too quickly for a pic, but it will not disappoint.
Highly recommend this little spot.

Oh My Goodness! We love cultural foods and Hopy’s Kitchen did not disappoint! It feels great to have something new to eat that makes our palates rejoice. The flavor of each dish was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed the spaghetti, tender beef dish, turkey meatballs, and maduros….everything was mmmmm GOOD! Ohhhh and the dessert is a MUST…Tres Leches is my absolute fave! We can’t wait to return. Thank You so much for the passion you put into each dish.

Excellent food, as good as you’d get anywhere. Say no to burgers and fries, and try something different, home cooked, and delicious. The tres leches cake is the best I’ve ever had. Service is just as outstanding as the food. Great value too.

Wow is all I can say. I was back in my hometown of Licking Missouri for a School Reunion Party. Myself and my wife was told about Hoppyskictchenl. I didn’t know I would be in Small Town America eating great Caribbean Food. I had the Salmon and wife had Beef on Rice and both where excellent. We will go back one more time before we leave. A+ Revommendation

Nice small cozy place to eat in small town Licking. Cant believe I found this place so far out in Missouri. I usually get this food in NYC.
The food was great, we had the fried tilapia which was juicy and right off the skillet. The beef with rice and beans was rediculously good and the sausage spaghetti which we’ve never had was excellent.
Hopy came out from the kitchen to greet us and man was she a great person!
I will definately be back this way. I recommend you stop by on Sundays when everything else is closed. We thought we were going to have to eat disgusting greasy Sonic…nope..it was Hopyskitchen…thanks a million!!

Traveling through Licking Missouri Sunday 11/10/2024 after church. On our way to Ally Springs on a gorgeous fall day. I always look for small town cafes. The only restaurant that wasn’t fast food opened on Sunday afternoon. My daughter and I were so excited to find a Caribbean Cuisine small business, open. I google mapped the restaurant and ended up driving in circles trying to figure out why we couldn’t find it. To my surprise, we finally found the restaurant at the four-way stop, right in the corner. We went inside. We found a seat. The Chef was so wonderful. She came and greeted us explained the menu told us what she could offer us. The appetizers were incredibly reasonably, priced probably the cheapest appetizers I’ve ever ever seen. Once our food arrived, she came back to check on us and make sure everything was to our liking. The food was so delicious and perfect. The young man serving us open the door for us as we left and wished us a good day. I absolutely can’t wait to Come back and enjoy more of the dishes they offer. And was very thankful for their kindness.

I don’t think I’ve been to to a restaurant I have so much praise for. The food is so so good! I loved the beef, rice, and beans! I want a whole bowl of beans now! The staff was so friendly and the place is so cute! The owner is absolutely lovely! I can’t wait to drag my family here! This town needed the diversity!
