Hopvine Brewing Company is an original, locally owned and operated restaurant and brewery in Aurora, IL. Guests immerse themselves in the craft brewing process while looking through windows into the brewery, the fermentation room and ultimately the storage cooler. We offer a selection of craft beer, wines, specialty drinks and an extensive, constantly evolving selection of fresh seasonal menu items. Hopvine also offers banquet rooms for all your party needs. We can provide everything your group, event, or business meeting requires including sound system, audio-visual aids, and Wi-Fi. We held a Celebration of Life at Hopvine Brewing Company in late July 2025. We worked with Kristin to pull the event together. She was amazing to work with. She would pivot effortlessly with every change that goes with planning an event like ours. My husband did not want a funeral ~ he wanted a party. Kristin not only delivered, she made excellent, tasteful recommendations and was spot on with food suggestions, decorating details and handled changes to the fluctuating/increasing guest count, even up to the day of the event. She was beyond supportive. She checked in with me throughout the event to ensure every need we had was met. The food was delicious, and the bar handled our every request. Hats off to their entire staff for engaging with our group.
If you have an event to plan, this is the perfect place. Kristin, thank you for making a difficult event into something that will be remembered by all who attended ~ I could not have done this without your assistance and grace.

We were at Hopping Brewing Co. for a celebration of life, which already sets a certain tone and expectation for basic human decency.
We had the room reserved and light food provided (salad, wings, meatballs). After the event, a few of us wanted to order actual food and asked for a table. The hostess informed us the kitchen closed at 9:00.
This was at 8:35.
When we pointed out that it wasn’t 9 yet, she doubled down and said, “Yeah, it’s closed.” No explanation, no flexibility, no empathy — just a flat refusal and an attitude.
If your kitchen actually closes earlier, say that. If you don’t want to serve people, say that. But don’t give a closing time and then shut people down 25 minutes early, especially during a memorial gathering.
Disappointing experience, poor communication, and zero compassion. Not the place I’d recommend for an event that matters.

First time here, and a really nice place. We came during dinner on a Saturday night and we’re surprised at how slow it was. From what we experienced, the place was nice and food was good.
The inside was clean and well furnished with a
brewery style decor, the staff were quick, responsive, and pleasant. And the food was hot. With the appetizer, we had the hush puppies. They were good, but didn’t expect the sauces that came with it. It created a good depth to them. Tacos were amazing, and I loved the presentation. The dessert was ok. I’m not the biggest fan of desserts in general, and this one didn’t wow me. It was good, but nothing special. Overall a good place.

The brewery has been on my radar so we decided to stop in on a Saturday for lunch. Located just west of the Fox Valley Mall.
We arrived around 1230pm and no one was at the hostess stand to greet us. As a matter of fact we saw no servers or bartender and there was only 2 people sitting at the bar. This seemed on but we walked around looking at their beer list and seated ourselves.
The interior is beautiful with lots of spacing between the tables and hi tops. The bar area is huge. Unfortunately this is about the only good thing we experienced.
The hostess brought us the beer,drink,specials and everyday menu and while my wife was not even seated yet,the server asked us what we wanted to drink. Why the rush? We told her to come back so we could look at the various drink and beer options.
My wife is Gluten Free so we asked her what she would suggest for a beverage..she had no clue.
My wife had a cider and I tried 3 tastings of beer …To The Top creme ale which was very light…Lag R Me a lager which was very hoppy and their EHD Brown ale which confused me because it was very light for a brown ale – see pic. None of them were outstanding in my opinion.
They did have a few food items marked GF so we decided to try their chili which was a daily special and their Hopvine nachos. We waited over 25 minutes with no explanation on why as we noticed another person asked “why the wait” as she had an appointment.
The chili was flavorful but all liquid. Only got about 3 spoonfuls. The nachos were basically melted cheese and frozen grilled chicken from a bag. No flavor,very little toppings and could not taste any beer cheese. All the nachos underneath were basically just chips.
We mentioned it to the server Emily and she just took our plates away without saying anything. At the same time the other patron having lunch finally got her entree ,took one bite and left. Said it was not worth even taking home!
The hostess came by and we explained what was wrong but she wasn’t listening.
When she brought back the bill she said she wanted to give us $5.00 off on our next visit but we had to spend $35.00..really?
We normally never complain about what we order but this time waiting over 25 minutes for mediocre food ,paying $40.00 with no apology was not a good experience.
Needless to say,we will not be back.

Great beers, awesome food and a wonderful atmosphere. Good service, very knowledgeable and helpful wait staff, so if you’ve never been here before, just ask and any of their employees will be more than happy to assist you in making your visit a wonderful experience. If you can’t decide on which beer to pick, take advantage of the free samples, or ask wait staff for assistance and they will gladly help you decide on which beer to get, or just get a flight. The food is also very good and they have a descent selection of bar food and delicious dishes to please even the fussiest palate. The beers are superb and they have a large variety to please everyone.

Checked this out after a play at Paramount. Everything we ate was fabulous! The wings – parm garlic and mango habanero – were crispy and flavorful. And I rarely like wings from restaurants because they are never crispy enough. The sweet chili shrimp had just the right bit of sweet heat. Our meals were pasta Alfredo, fried chicken sammie, beef sandwich and creamy Cajun pasta. Our server was attentive and helpful! We will be back!
