Disappointing. I used to go to Hopscotch fairly often for quiche. It was delicious and so were the roasted potatoes. Over the last 8-12 months, I have come maybe 6 or 8 times. Each time, I feel like I’m giving it another chance. The quiche is made ahead and heated to order, which is fine, but the top is always over browned and often (today) the crust is over baked from being reheated. Couldn’t cut into it with my fork. The inside is barely warm and often is cold. The potatoes were dried out and barely warm. This meal should not have been served. I won’t be back for breakfast /lunch in a good long while.

Pastries are usually good, though some basic items are ruined by the use of unique ingredients. In the spring, a lot of lavender is infused into to pastries. Not a fan at all. Pastries are expensive and I assume this is why the prices are no longer made available (a long time ago each item had a price tag). Obviously you can ask for the prices, but it should be clear so that customers don’t have to.

On the plus side, I love the atmosphere. I’ll return for coffee.

Got the Ham and Havarti croissant, warmed up for dinner. It was mostly croissant, and I got a small taste of some Dijon mustard. I was a little disappointed to say the least. Tasted the lemon bar and I doubt I can eat that…it is very tart! I’ll try something else next time! Beautiful location and a very hip vibe!

Love! I absolutely this place. I enjoy supporting locally owned businesses and especially places that cater to an open minded concept for hiring. The outside and inside has a nice decor. A nice place to come by yourself and work or with friends to grab a drink and conversate. There were lots of choices for drinks and things to eat. My daughter ordered a hocus pocus drink and I had the practical magic drink. We both had some sort of savory breakfast roll which was very tasty. Overall, the drinks were unique and very tasty, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was busy but laid back They offer a small shopping area with unique items and a refrigerated area with items for purchasing as well. If you are in Champaign stop by because I think you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience at Hopscotch Bakery! How can potatoes be both indulgently crispy and delicately creamy?! My brain melted as my eyes worked to figure out how something could taste even better than it looks. Start to finish, this place is an absolute gem filled with lovely humans and even lovelier glutens. Don’t sleep on the vegan chocolate chip cookie–as a connoisseur I can say this is the best one I’ve had in the last 20 years. Every town needs a place like Hopscotch and anytime I’m in a 60 mile radius, you better believe I will be back!

We ordered a salted caramel cupcake. It was pretty good, but nothing to go crazy over. We ate it outside and enjoyed the weather. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d like for a coffee shop! We asked if they had a military discount, they do not.

Absolutely DELICIOUS croissants here. If you go, and you only buy one thing, make sure it’s a croissant! I guarantee you won’t regret it.

The food and service here is always spot on. Their bakery items and pastries are absolutely delicious and I’m a huge fan of the ham sandwich croissant. Coffee is a solid pour and overall super cute location.

Do not order cupcakes from Hopscotch Bakery. My cupcakes for a birthday party were burned (see photo). They had too much salt which was located/pooled at the bottom of the cupcakes. The cupcakes should have tasted much better given their appearance. They were pleasing to the eyes; however, not to the taste & it was disappointing. In other words, they tasted nasty! The cake itself was dense; similar to corn muffins, & were not light & fluffy like cake. The cake tasted like corn muffins & most of the kids at our party would not eat them – at all. Comments such as, “I don’t like these,” was common & I agree. If I made cupcakes this way at home, I would have thrown them all away & started over. The frosting was thick & there was far too much of it on such a small cake. The cost was roughly $3.00 per cupcake & most of them were waisted. Customer service is problematic as well to me. They do not answer the phone & only want customers to text them for bakery questions. They give short answers via text & send mostly automated responses. They just are not very helpful with your order. No options to tailor your order to your personal specifications which frustrated me. No allergy options. In person, they were just as impersonal. I do not recommend this bakery. I really like shopping & purchasing orders from local companies, but I will not order again with this bakery.

I ordered a cake from this place a week before our event and provided a picture of exactly what I wanted. I initially called to confirm whether they needed the picture, but no one returned my voicemail. I then went to the store in person to show the picture, but they asked me to email it instead. After emailing the image, I received no reply or confirmation.

Two days before the event, I tried to change the pickup time by just one hour, but once again, no one answered my calls. I had to visit the store in person again just to make that small change.

In the end, after spending around $180, the cake I received looked nothing like the picture I had shared. The buttercream was poorly applied, and the overall quality was disappointing. Very unprofessional experience, and I won’t be ordering from here again

This is a cute little business in the heart of a beautiful Champaign neighborhood. The parking lot is very small, but there is plenty of street parking around the block. The chai latte was absolutely amazing, but the blackberry/rhubarb scone was a little drier than I’d have liked. I bought some nice candles here too. They have a lovely gift selection!
