Last Sunday my girlfriend and I stopped at Hops & Hogs in Lincoln for lunch after spending the morning riding our scooters around town. We were seated right away and the staff was friendly and attentive, which made it an easy place to settle in and relax after being out and about. The setting felt casual and upbeat, and it worked well for a laid-back lunch.

I ordered the pastrami sandwich with onion rings and a side of ranch. The onion rings were the best part of my plate—crispy, hot, and really good with the ranch, as you can see in the photo. The pastrami sandwich was just okay for me. The meat was a little tough and there was more mustard than I wanted, which overpowered the rest of the sandwich. It wasn’t bad, just not something I’d order again.

My girlfriend got the Californication burger with fries, and hers was the standout. It looked great and tasted even better, and honestly I wished I had ordered the same thing. Overall, we had a good experience because the service was solid and the sides were done well. This is a good spot if you want a casual lunch and are looking for burgers and bar food, and I’d go back—next time I’d skip the pastrami and order the burger instead.

Positive, great waitress and service. Painters were blocking entrance almost did not go in. Was not sure what they served until I found them on the internet. Potato salad was fine, brisket was awful. Pickles good. Husband said his food was fine( but that’s what he always says) everywhere.

A wonderful place in old Lincoln. We were greeted by the staff with a smile. The size of the menu items was very generous. The food was hot with a wait time of about 15 minutes from the time ordered. The special bonus feature was the prices on the menu. Being from Washington state, the prices here are less than similar restaurants in western Washington. The restrooms were clean and modern, and the overall cleanliness was above average. A very personable staff member made sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommended .

We went here on a Sunday morning for brunch and we had a great experience. The menu explains some interesting information about the restaurant and was a nice touch! It was nice to read that the orange juice was fresh squeezed and the options for coffee and espresso options were fantastic! I had an iced Carmel latte with milk. The service was excellent, everyone was attentive and accommodating. Everyone was nice and smiling. We will definitely be back and hope to see others as well!

Texas collides with California as Hops and Hogs serves up tasty tri-tip, brisket, ribs, pork belly and smoked salmon. The flavors and techniques at Hops and Hogs are classic with Phil Woodman stoking the smoker with the rich aroma of country “Texas-inspired” BBQ. Every bite of the brisket was devoured. But both the potato salad and coleslaw tasted bland. Cornbread would be a better substitute for the flour tortillas. The country smokehouse is located in old town Lincoln. This isn’t a great date spot, because of the cost. It is a great spot to grab some BBQ if you’re in Lincoln. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

Hops & Hogs is a local staple! Delicious food from barbecue to tasty breakfast! The staff is always friendly. The restaurant is always clean. The owners are the kindest, best humans and do everything they can to support our community. If you haven’t already tried Hops & Hogs…..you most definitely should take your family out for a nice treat! Oh yeah, they also have an amazing ice cream stand! One of the flavors include includes a vegan option, which is scrumptious!!!!

First time visiting the rebranded “kitchen”. Smokehouse hash was really tasty, strong on the salt and smoke. Potatoes as a side were nice and crispy. Eggs were perfect for my preference of over easy. My wife had the avocado toast, disappointed in the bread and the lack of butter on the “toast”. Avocados were fresh. Great glass of home brewed ice tea with a lemon wedge.

We sat down immediately after walking in and ordered our drinks. Our order was taken 20 minutes after and our food came 20 minutes after that. Food was extremely disappointing. The smokehouse hash supposedly comes with 3 bbq meats. As you can see in the picture it was hard to identify or even taste any meat at all in my tiny serving. The texas beny was ok but the brisket was mediocre at best with hardly any salty or smokey flavor at all. Reminded me of bland roast beef. I expected more form this place. The staff and cooks need to do better. I’ll probably give it another shot for a bbq lunch but will not be going back for breakfast

Food was good. My main complaint is I ordered 2 lbs of meet. 1 pork belly and one brisket. The bag felt very light. I asked if I had the right order and was told yes each pack was 1/2 lb. Went home and weighed my meet on my kitchen scale and came up short 5 oz on the pork belly and 2 on the brisket this is with the wrapping and the little tray so I’m guessing I was more like 7 or 8 oz short.

Update to my review. I am changing my rating to 5 stars. They made it right by offering one lb of meat to make us for the shortage. We got the smoked turkey and it was wonderful and possibly the best I’ve had. We went back again to purchase another lb of smoked turkey snd a few sides and everything was delicious. This is our new bbq place.

Came in here today around noon with my wife. All staff provided great service and Hablan Español. We told our waitress how we just moved to town and she was happy to share her experiences here in Lincoln . For the food, we ordered a sandwich and the chicken and waffles . The favorite was the chicken and waffles! It was topped with fried onions and on the side we were given gravy and syrup(they even have spicy syrup) . For the drinks we both had a local beer from goat house brewery and then a coffee. This was a great local place and can’t wait to come here again.
