Hopkins Brewing is a fantastic spot right in the heart of Sugar House. Great beers, relaxed atmosphere, and a neighborhood feel that makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and there’s always something solid on tap whether you’re into classic styles or trying something new. Say Hello to Chad (The owner) Because he is always there to make you feel Welcome
It’s the kind of place that feels truly local—perfect for meeting friends, unwinding after a long day, or starting a night out in Sugar House. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

The beer here was absolutely fantastic and the food was even better. I tried a crisp and refreshing blonde ale that hit the spot perfectly. For dinner, I had the orange BBQ chicken sandwich that was packed with flavor, a touch of spice, and cooked to perfection. To make the night even better, a talented jam band was playing live, creating the perfect atmosphere. Great drinks, amazing food, and incredible vibes. I can’t wait to come back again!

Games and vibes were cool but hella lame beer selection and the food was weak for the price. Cesar dressing on the salad was the weirdest garlicky sauce I’ve ever had, almost asked for it to be off our ticket because we couldn’t eat it. Burger was juicy but it had limp fries and it was $20. There’s a lot better elsewhere.
Would only come back for the games and full bar.

The vibe was awesome. The drinks and food were tasty and I was surprised with the live music that was offered that night. The service was great. The location is great. The parking can be tricky but it’s worth it. I would definitely go back.

Five of us Ubered from the Convention Center to have beer and food here, and we had a good time. The ambiance is lively and fun. We came because of the amazing selections of limited brew beers, so it was disappointing when 4 of the five (3 of the 4?) were no longer available. No porter or stout would have been a deal killer for me if I’d known in advance. We ordered beers off the regular menu and they were fine. A couple of my friends especially liked the Apricot Wheat.
We started with Totchos and a pretzel, and both were great, especially the pretzel. The fish tacos were already sold out, so we ordered grilled cheese sandwiches, a BLT, and a Philly Cheesesteak. These were only ok. The grilled cheese could definitely be rethought by the kitchen as it was dry and not very flavorful.
The people at the bar were nice and helpful.
Would I spend almost $60 to Uber here and back again? No. But if I lived within walking distance, I would.

Went to Hopkins Brewing Company while visiting from out of town and had a really frustrating experience. They refused to let us in because my boyfriend’s ID wouldn’t scan on their machine — which clearly wasn’t working properly because this is not his first time using it. He is 29 years old and there is absolutely nothing wrong with his valid ID.
If your equipment is broken, fix your machine before turning away paying customers. Really disappointing and not a great way to treat visitors.

We visited this spot because we always acquire local beers as a way to remember each spot. This place had 8 different beers from their company, but they also sell beers from the neighboring breweries. They have some food available as well. To-go bottles and cans are beautifully designed. There was a lot of people when we came in, so the place seems to be popular. The bartender was very friendly, and the service was fairly quick.
