I had an amazing experience at Hop Cat in Detroit. We ordered a bunch of food and I loved the burgers. The shareable nachos were excellent. And the beer cheese is the best I’ve ever had. We had a couple beers that that came out crisp and cold. Great environment, and place to get together and watch a game. I will definitely be coming back here as I am hooked on their burgers.

Our waitress Annie was awesome. She made sure that our drinks were full and we had everything that we needed to have a Great dining Experience

My family stopped here to celebrate my sister in law getting her PhD. The staff was so friendly and attentive, and our waitress waived my sister in-laws meal to celebrate her becoming a doctor. Delicious food and speedy wait times. I definitely recommend stopping at Hopcat.

My bestie and I were in Detroit to see a comedy show at the Fillmore and wanted to find a spot to eat dinner beforehand. We looked online for good places to go nearby and this restaurant came up. I read some of the reviews and checked out the menu and made a reservation for 5pm. We ended up getting into Detroit earlier than expected (we came from Windsor, Canada) but decided to try our luck to see if we could get in early. They accommodated us and we waited less than 5 minutes for them to seat us. Our server was wonderful, big beautiful smile and a lovely personality. We ordered a mocktail which was delicious (I forget the name but it had coconut and pineapple) and the pretzel nugs to start. The nugs came out hot with a side of cheese sauce and it was delicious! We both ordered the “cowboy” burger, I had everything on it, my bestie had everything but the onions and jalapeños. When I tell you the moment I bit into that burger, it was the best damn burger I’ve ever tasted. It was hot (temp wise), juicy, tasted like fresh meat, the flavours blended really well together and it wasn’t spicy even with the jalapeños which I liked since I’m not a big spicy person but can handle some. just WOW. And then the fries…. THE FRIES!!! whatever seasoning they put on them is amazing and it also comes with a side of cheese sauce or ranch, we had the cheese sauce and it was a perfect combo. We both finished our entire meals which is rare. We left stuffed and very happy. From the atmosphere to the music to the service to the food, 5/5!!! Would definitely go back so my partner could try the burger and so I can try the chicken fingers because the people next to us ordered those and they looked incredible. We can’t wait to go back!

If you’re looking for a nice spot to chill that not only, has great food, a variety of draft beers and specialty cocktails, has an atmosphere thats lively yet intimate enough to have a conversation without having to yell and all of this on a MONDAY. A hidden in plain sight kinda place a diamond in the rough and I haven’t even gotten to the staff our server “Annie” was very attentive and knew all the draft choices without looking at the menu which was very impressive. This is my new weekday sopt.

Great food and drinks! Their happy hour deals are amazing, and all the food was both filling and flavorful. The atmosphere has a cool retro vibe that makes the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit! The QLine also drops you off in front which makes it convenient.

Out to lunch with my partner and we decided to go to place we see all the time. HopCat was better then okay but not great. The service was a little slow keep in mind the place was far from capacity. Their were 5 people at the bar and less than half the booths had people in them. I got the dirty martini burger and it was okay. Two bites had olives, my wife gotnthe fired cod, half of one piece was soggy. It is what it is. Not a bad experience, everything was just okay.

Food is sub par for detroit for sure. With how high this place was rated I was sure it would be cool but me and the lady agreed the food was not great. Not terrible but I’ve had burgers taste better at a coney Island lol

Loaded fries were hilariously not loaded
Burgers were overcooked//charred
Onion rings are the same ones you can get from Sam’s club

ordering and getting take out is chaos

Parking is chaos

This place was packed, we sat at the bar. The bar chairs were very comfy. I didn’t feel like we had to wait very long at all for our burgers to come out. The fries were so good you didn’t even need to dip them in anything. I wanted to try something new, so my burger had bacon jam, peanut butter aïoli and haystack onions on it. I would go as far as to say that it was in the top two best burgers I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was very interesting, I liked it. I can’t wait to go back and try something else!
There were vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. They serve brunch until 3pm. The parking lot behind the building was very small and most of the street parking that was close to the restaurant was pay-to-park. so we drove around for a little bit to find free parking and had to walk about a block-ish.
