Today I tried out Hop-N-Shop Deli for the first time. I ordered the Lasagna, Spinach Madeline, Green Beans. It is apparently a Wednesday dish. The Lasagna was among the best Lasagna I have ever experienced, and I am a Lasagna fanatic! The sides were also great, without heavy spice, yet perfectly seasoned. The homemade bread that came with this meal is absolutely wonderful. I am actually going to plan my Plaquemine trips to work around these meals!

The food was good. I don’t like the little 6 inch stirafom container they pile your food on. I had grits 2 eggs sausage patty . When you tried to cut your patty or the eggs your grits spilled over the table. Try to get a larger plate.it was to messy for me. The food was good though.

Definitely thee BEST Biscuit and gravy I’ve had in well over 10 years. I stop here frequently for breakfast. It’s definitely a stop you have to make. Make sure to add butter to your biscuit. Dont forget to add a pork chop and have a hashbrown. You can thank me later for this. Fast and friendly service, get there early, and enjoy it with a hot coffee. It’s a small place, but it’s well worth the drive.

My travel partner and I stay in Baton Rouge for work and drive all the way over here for breakfast weekly. The food is like grandma cooked you a Sunday breakfast, every morning! I went to try the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. I was not disappointed, the biscuits were tender and flakey. The gravy had a slight cajun kick to it but very tasty!

We visited them for breakfast and it was all delicious. The best part, i didn’t have to cook. They have a complete menu and your choice down to toast or biscuit. The service was quick and efficient. And the best part, all served with a friendly smile and good morning when you walk in the door. Just as it should be.

We’ve been in town for the past eight months on a project and typically feed between 10-25 people daily. We’ve been using Hop-n-Shop once a week. They’re incredibly efficient and the food is great as well. They go above and beyond with their service, and will do whatever they can to accommodate you. Plenty of options as well, especially if you have a couple of vegetarians to feed. Give them plenty of notice to make your order(for large parties), though, since they get really busy around Lunch.

Disappointed with my breakfast. I’m not sure if they have different cooks or have cut cost, but the grits were horrible. Normally the grits are nice and creamy, but today they were completely watered down. I hope that they got back to their usual techniques. I don’t mind paying the price increase if it’s worth it.
