Trying out Chinese spots near Roselle, NJ and found this gem. The food was truly delectable. It smelled so good, looked so good, and tasted so good. I would eat here again. Prices are in the normal/steep range. For 2 people, we ordered a chicken noodle soup, a boneless spare ribs, a shrimp lo mein, and a “Four Seasons” (total around $60-$65) and wow, it was so delicious and the restaurant gave a lottttt of food in their serving. We had all that food for dinner and we were able to eat the leftovers for lunch the following day as well. Would recommend!

Making a delivery order took a full hour wait after the initially told me 5-15min with the restaurant only being a 4min drive from me. I waited up to 30min in the back entrance as requested in vain only for them to incessantly call 20min later disrupting my evening classes. I figured if I don’t receive my order, someone working would have to pay for it so I called back.
Upon accepting my order, I missed a portion of my class to literally eat rice, seafood, & ribs with my HANDS because they didn’t include utensils. The seafood delight had jumbo shrimp incorporated, but even taking a bite of one tasted like it was the seafood pieces were going bad being the consistency was slimy, mushy as if it’s already spoiled. Not to mention the main reason I added the seafood delight is this lady specified it is an $18 minimum for delivery so I added more just to have a crazy story to tell & am upset stomach thereafter.
On top of that, I ordered boneless spare ribs hoping for juicy bite size pieces but instead had extremely dry spare rib with bones and cartilage. Ironically enough, the lady with a Filipina accent who took my order verified boneless spare rib tips to still have the order complely wrong. Plus, forgetting to add utensils so I had to pretend to enjoy the meal for my sanity eating all this hands to mouth despite all the mistakes made.
Needless to say, the seafood delight was the complete opposite of delight(more like disgust) considering my stomach did somersaults the next day from what could’ve only been FOOD POISONING from the rancid seafood. If the seafood is slimy as it’s being cooked, please don’t serve it to your patrons so at least I’m the final person that has this surprise experience from your establishment.

Great fresh food! It’s an amazing restaurant. We have been ordering from them for several years. The food is always fresh, authentic and portions are generous. We appreciate good moo shu chicken and Singapore mei fun that they make. Today our order was prompt and on time. We are lucky to have them in our town so we enjoy their authentic delicious food.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I’ve been searching for a good Chinese restaurant and was referred to Hop Hing. Unfortunately, my experience was horrendous. I placed an order before work as it was a lunch order. When I got to work, two of the wings were completely white on the top so threw them out. As I was about to start eating the remainder of my order, I noticed that the chicken I had was RAW! When I called the restaurant they asked me to bring the food back that I had and instead of replacing the whole order just replaced two chicken wings. The manager then proceeded to tell me to go to another store next time. Horrible customer service and even worse food. 1/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

1st try and last. Place looks dirty. The most tasteless meal I’ve ever had! Ordered Mongolian Beef. Meat is tender, it is tasteless because there is not enough sauce, it is NOT spicy at all. They actually put those fried chips you put in soup which soaked up whatever little sauce there was. The onion are more than plentiful and huge so are the slices of beef. I also order hot and sour soup. Again tasteless. Not sour, not not hot. Do they taste their food? Really really bad. Also very slow service. Told me 15 minutes got there in 20 and had to wait. Food was not hot.

U can go wrong with American Chinese food. The horror of thick wonton n heavily starched sauce. Likely using same sauce for everything. Highly discouraged but there is no better at 4.5 around here.

It’s great-tasting, well-made Chinese food. By well-made I mean you’re NOT going to receive food that’s drowned in grease, or all mushy like it’s been sitting in a steam table for hours.
They have a great selection of different styles. All the standard stuff, plus Szechuan and Cantonese specialties. The prices are reasonable. Staff is very nice. I love that when I order delivery, the driver is from the restaurant, not some internet service.
I used to think I’d never find good Chinese food in this area, until I tried Hop Hing. Now I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The food was surprisingly good. I was skeptical based apon location and size of the restaurant but it was actually good. I ordered beef and broccoli, BBQ beef sticks and egg roll. I do recommend the BBQ beef sticks. They were very good. Parking is very limited especially for larger vehicles but I was impressed and I will be back.
