The service deserves 10 stars. Matthew came to the table to make sure he understood the food allergy and to discuss what the safety measures he could take while preparing the food. His attentiveness is appreciated. Fried mushrooms were the best! Smoked turkey was tender and juicy.

Went to Hoots for the first time after driving 9 hours from vacation. We were beat!! The hostess was so kind and accommodating when we had no reservation and it was right during rush.
We were seated in the bar area and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was great too. We got steak, frog legs, chicken strips, a burger and queso. All of the food was delicious!! It came out quickly too. The steak had a little too much fat on it so a lot wasn’t edible, but the flavor was great because of it so whatever. I’ll definitely go again if passing through. Not much else in that town, so this is a nice little gem.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED Hoot’s!!! We have recommended it to others, and 100% feel like it’s worth the 4 hour drive from the house to eat there again!!

Just passing through McGehee headed home from Branson and had to stop in for a bite to eat. One of the best decisions of our trip. The steak was seasoned to perfection, the baked potato was as good as it gets. Salad was all fresh ingredients. I ordered the sliced brisket and it was tender and cooked to perfection. My wife said it was the best steak she has eaten. Though we’re an hour away, this place will be on our special night out rotation.

We were traveling through and stopped because we had seen ratings stating it was good. We walk in and the lady seating people stated, “Do you have reservations?” I said, “No we are traveling through.” She gave me a “look that sure do not give guests, and said, “You don’t have reservations? Well we don’t have any tables available.” I said, “ We are traveling through and did not know we needed reservations. We had heard it was good. “ She replied, Oh, well it is good, but for future reference, we’re always busy so you will need a reservations.” We stated, “We probably never will be back through here and we left. After being greeted like that. I would not ever stop even if I had time to drive back to the place. She was very rude!

We are just passing through on our road trip, knew nothing about Hoots. We were very happy with this stop! Great food, great atmosphere and friendly service! I had the rib eye chili and grilled cheese and my husband had a pulled pork sandwich. Yum!

I had the pulled pork, brisket, potato salad, and coleslaw. Everything was outstanding! And I don’t know how they make that potato salad, but it is really awesome! We had a large wedding party and the service as well as the food were both exceptional! I will be back!

This place is a must stop. Really good brisket, not thin sliced beef. Chicken is moist and has a great smoke flavor. Ribs were a little tough but had good seasonings and great flavor. Baked beans were top notch and coleslaw was above average. Took a picture of the desserts, because they looked so good, but didn’t try anything. Worth the drive.
