My husband bought a raspberry pie to go. We were so disappointed when we tried it at home. The whole pie was mostly that goopy, sugary, fake jelly like filling. There was hardly any real fruit in it. There was no tart raspberry taste at all. We couldn’t eat it. Waste of money.

I happened to have dinner here in mid-May on the same night as a large group of RVers, and decided to join in despite not being part of the group. The Miller farm was a wonderful place to experience the Amish threshers dinner with chicken, roast beef, noodles (the Amish version of spaetzle), and a delicious dessert. Afterwards, there was a Q&A session with the Miller family and there was a lot of great insight into Amish culture. It was well worth the experience. Make sure to call ahead and make reservations.

If you want an awesome home cooked meal and awesome pie for lunch, this is the place. Perfect amount of food. The chicken salad sandwich was fantastic! Same with the homemade soup. There is no signage out front, go into the Yoder Shopping Center.

We were thrilled to meet & get to know a fine Amish family. They were very open about their beliefs & lifestyle. And the Meal was Outstanding. If we’re in this area again we will make it a point to go there again. We have a new set of friends!!

We had a wonderful dinner with our children. It was absolutely amazing food and the host and his wife were so nice to us. We had a very nice conversation and got to know each other at the end of dinner. It was as a shame we had to go home and put the kids to bed..

My Mom and I have had dinner there twice. The food was delicious and served hot. The after-dinner conversation was very interesting and informative. The Millers were wonderful hosts!

This Amish owned in home dining experience is a great way to learn more about the local Amish culture. The owner cooks amazing full threshers meals with fried chicken, noodles, mashed potatoes, followed by ice cream and coffee and conversation with the her as she shares some about their Amish lifestyle. You must call ahead as reservations are required and groups as small as 4 and larger are able to be accommodated. Truly a one of a kind meal experience in Shipshewana. They also do haystack lunches so ask about all the options for your food selections when you call to reserve ahead.
