Tried out Hooked Sushi recently and overall had a solid experience. The food was decent, with a few standout items that made the visit worthwhile. I ordered a specialty roll that was really well-executed, along with some sashimi and a miso soup that was richer and more layered than what you typically get elsewhere definitely a pleasant surprise.

The atmosphere is cool but intimate. The space is quite small tight quarters, especially on the side I was seated but I believe there may be additional seating around the back. That said, it works well if you’re into a more low-key, cozy vibe.

Customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and very attentive throughout the meal. There was a bit of a delay with some of my food, but it looked like they were juggling a few large takeout orders at the time, so I’ll chalk that up to timing.

All in all, I’m glad I gave Hooked a try. It’s a solid addition to the local sushi scene and worth checking out, especially if you’re looking to compare spots around town. Four stars for the good food, great service, and unique touches. I’ll be back.

If you’re looking for high-quality sushi in Bozeman, Hooked is a must visit! It strikes a great balance of welcoming atmosphere, friendly service & genuinely excellent food. Their specials are always thoughtful and tasty (pictured). They have a diverse sake & wine list, and newly added cocktail menu! We always love a few hamachi temakis & the Going To The Sun roll. There can be a waitlist, but that’s common for good restaurants downtown. We never mind putting our name on the list and grabbing a drink till we can get a table.

My favorite sushi place!! Great staff, great menu, great wines and sake! Loved the “ONE” roll and it’s community contribution. Love the location and it’s downtown vibe!

Absolutely incredible sushi spot. Hands down some of the most flavorful specialty rolls I’ve ever had. Every combination was flawless, perfectly balanced, and clearly crafted by chefs who know exactly what they’re doing.

Nothing tasted generic or thrown together. Each roll had its own personality, with fresh fish, bold flavors, and just the right textures in every bite. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and treated with care.

If you’re into creative rolls that actually deliver (not just look pretty on a menu), this place is a must. I’ll 100% be back.

Hooked came recommended by staff at the Treasure State Hostel where I was staying. What a delicious treat for veggies! I started off with the fried cauliflower (tempura style), then had the Dandelion roll for my main course (tofu, scallion, cucumber, and avocado). Everything was beautifully presented and light but filling. My server suggested the lemon-basil-lavender cocktail; I had sake added to it, which was a perfect accompaniment to my meal.

Very busy on a Friday night; so the service was a bit slow. Took quite some time for someone to come to take my order and for my sushi to come out. Otherwise the food was incredible. The chashu pork was crispy in the ramen; unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Instead of menma the ramen had mushrooms that were so flavorful! The circle of fire roll was incredibly spicy and super delicious! Definitely needed some extra water!

We had the wontons and a special app which was the Albacore sashimi. Both were excellent!! We ordered 4 sushi rolls and they all were excellent. But what made the difference was the server and manager both do a fantastic job ensuring that you have a good experience.

Fantastic sushi! Better that Dave’s, Seven, or Wasabi. Traditional and specialty rolls came out fast and tasted very fresh. The fish tacos were also really great. Cozy atmosphere and shout out to our great server Abby. Prices were cheaper than Dave’s with stellar rolls. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for some great sushi in Bozeman!

I’ve had sushi all over the world, for being in the mountains this is by far some of the best fish I’ve ever had. Chef Alina perfectly prepared everything. Their selection was quite large when I went with some unique options. If you want amazing sushi and don’t mind to pay the price, this is your spot. Killer happy hour too!
