My partner and I traveled to Kenai and passed by this coffee shop our first morning here. We were pleased with the coffee and chocolate donuts! They had just made them fresh so they were still hot! The girls running it were also kind and helpful!

One of the best croissants sandwiches I’ve tried. Friendly customer service as well.

Coffee was weak and didn’t taste great… but the worst part was that I gave the young lady a $10 bill for an $8 order, and instead of giving me the change and letting me decide if I wanted to tip her (for pouring 2 regular cups of coffee), she literally asked me “Do you want your change back?” It was one of the most entitled things I have ever experienced in a business transaction.

I went to hooked on the bean this morning, the owner and her employees were amazing!!! I asked them to make me a random iced coffee and 2 random lotus drinks and they made 3 amazing drinks! I’m a new fan, they were quick, friendly, and the drinks were fantastic. This is a must try!

I’m diabetic so I just asked the batista to surprise me with an iced sugar-free coffee. It was delicious. It was like drinking a cup of be my valentine. Raspberry/chocolate coffee delectable!

We love this place! It is a coffee “shack” along Kalifornsky Beach Rd in the Kenai/Soldotna area. They have fantastic drinks, hot and cold, and some of the best breakfast sandwiches I have seen. A ham, egg and cheese bagel has a huge slab of ham. Definitely homemade and awesome. They are easy to get to and get out of as well. I am definitely a return customer and will continue to be.

I used to love this place. They decided to get rid of jet tea smoothies and their smoothies are nowhere’s near what they used to be. The other day I ordered a pineapple coconut smoothie. It costed me $10.50 and was the worst smoothie I’ve ever tasted. It didn’t taste right like the barista messed it up. I drove back to substitute it for a different flavor smoothie. The barista consented and I decided to order a mango smoothie (I don’t usually go wrong with mango). She finished making the smoothie and said that it would be $7.25. I explained to her that she apparently didn’t understand what I meant by substituting the smoothie because I wasn’t planning to pay again when I had already paid $10.50. After paying $10.50 and driving back, she tells me that I’d have to pay again; that they can’t just substitute the drink. What a joke. She made the mango smoothie and then couldn’t hand it to me. This place apparently doesn’t care about business anymore. The customer service and quality of product left much to be desired. Hooked On the Bean has fallen. I’m taking my money to places like The Brew where they actually know what they’re doing when it comes to making drinks and treating customers like royalty.

Excellent customer service. They get to know what their customers want, which makes ordering easy. Pull up and smile to confirm. Great tasting coffee. I never order unless I know for sure I have a tip for the barista.

I’ll just set the scene:
It’s snowing, a literal ton.
I slide in next to Hooked on the Bean to a smiling face. I requested coffee and breakfast. (Ham egg and cheese croissant, of course)
A.) I’ve always gotten the perfect hot cup of happy.
B.) Try some breakfast, just do it. Soooo good and made fresh (NOT microwaved)

Quick and friendly service with good prices, good drive-in entrance from both ways, clean appearance, and knowledgeable staff. Remembers customers very well if you have a unique preference, which makes getting your coffee in the morning even quicker.
