I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, the food was alright, and the service was exceptional. Special thanks to our waitress, Genevieve — she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. She made the experience even better!

I had a very uncomfortable and unprofessional experience at Rook & Reel. When my party arrived, we asked if a booth was available. They seated us at a table I clearly saw a booth that was already cleaned and had a paper on it, so I asked the other hostess who was assisting Emily if it was open. Before she could answer, Emily nudged her and said, “Say no.” They then told us the booth was not available, which was not true, because shortly after, they seated another party at that exact booth.
Once we were finally seated, things only got worse. Two servers were called to the front, and Emily and the other employee pointed at me while talking, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Throughout our visit, it felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming.
I also want to mention that when we first arrived, Emily and the other employee were both on their phones instead of paying attention to guests, which added to the unprofessional atmosphere.
I did speak with Ashley about the situation, and she acknowledged it and said she would speak to them about their behavior and the lack of professionalism. Unfortunately, the experience had already left a bad impression, and it’s disappointing because I expected much better treatment as a customer.

Danielle has been our server the last two times my boyfriend and I have gone and she is so kind and attentive! The food and service is amazing and we will definitely be coming back as much as possible.

Had a nice lunch. The fried shrimp was fantastic. I worked in food and beverage for years and I have to say the shrimp were some of the best I’ve ever had. Wish I could say the same for the wings. They were overcooked and fried in old burnt oil. Someone forgot to filter it. I will return as I want to try the seafood stream plates. They looked and smelled delicious!

Our server, Brynley, provided outstanding service. She was friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed to make our first visit memorable. The entire staff contributed to the warm and accommodating atmosphere.

My son and I visited here on a Friday night at 6:30. Very busy, but we were seated within 10 minutes. I have been in the restaurant business for the past 40 years, and I was very impressed how well run this place is. Our server was Brynlee, and she was amazing! The food was out of this world and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was amazing, and the owner was out chatting with customers. I would definitely recommend this place!

I’ve had good food here before, which is why this was so disappointing. The last time I ordered takeout, both the service and the food were terrible. I ordered the seafood boil with crab legs, shrimp, and clams. The shrimp were unclean and mushy, and tasted like they had been frozen and thawed multiple times. The amount of crab I received was also significantly less than usual. I drove a long distance to pick up the order and the food wasn’t ready when I got there even though they had sent a pickup notification. I ended up spending $66 on food I couldn’t enjoy. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience.

Staff was friendly and even met the owner. Crab bisque was SO good. I wasn’t crazy about the flounder itself, but the rest of the sandwich was very good. My husband’s Crab cake was good, son enjoyed his Crab and shrimp platter, would probably try the king crab next time instead for some meatier crab legs. DIL liked her fried shrimp. I only wish they had more fresh fish options as that’s what we are missing after living in Charleston, but other than that it was a good LA style treat in the middle of Meridian.

Great experience over all. Did not stink of fish like so many seafood places do. Ordered right away and had the food and hardly anytime at all. I had the butter garlic in hot. Tried the snow, crabs, muscles and shrimp. Shrimp wasn’t the best. The crab was really good. I was not a fan of the butter. It lacked the richness of the regular butter I buy at the grocery store. I love delicious butter with my seafood in this lacking in that department.
Overall, I see it was a good experience. I probably would order a different seasoning in the future.

Nice spot in Idaho. I’ve been to a lot of crab boil spots, and what sets restaurants apart is the sauce. Service was good. Can’t remember his name.
