However, the initial impression was slightly marred by several uncleared tables scattered throughout the dining area, which unfortunately contributed to a chaotic, “food fight” atmosphere.
The service proved to be the major drawback of the visit. Since our entire party was new to the restaurant, we felt the staff could greatly improve the customer experience by simply asking if guests are first-time diners. This would allow them to proactively offer guidance, rather than making us feel like we were being bothersome by asking basic questions about the process.
Furthermore, the employee delivering our food seemed incredibly rushed and short on patience. Between the background noise and the speed at which she was moving, we struggled to hear the items being called out before the plates were quickly dropped off.
Despite the operational flaws, the food was excellent and delivered incredible value. Every item we sampled from the AYCE menu was high-quality and satisfying. This included the fried options like the catfish, flounder, fried shrimp, calamari, and hushpuppies, as well as the sides like fried rice and potatoes. The boiled seafood, specifically the mussels, shrimp, and crab legs, was particularly delicious.
It’s important to note the strict 90-minute eating limit, which we successfully navigated by setting a timer as soon as our first plate arrived.
Ultimately, while the service and front-of-house organization left room for improvement, the quality and price point of the food were undeniable.
We would definitely return for the value, but we plan to visit at an earlier time in the day, hoping the staff might be less stressed and more pleasant before the rush of a long shift begins.
From the moment we walked in, the hostess was smug. No friendliness and no warmth. Just cold. It was not until she sat us down, that she gave us a small smile.
The table she sat us at was disgusting. The napkin holder was so filthy and sticky, the wall by the window looked like it never got wiped ave the window and window sill was filthy too. So we moved ourselves to another table. That table was little better, but the window sill and wall was filthy.
Our waitress cane to us and she had a nasty stain on her shirt. I didn’t understand why when it was literally like 12 pm in the afternoon. It was early and there was only a few amount of ppl dining here.
She explained how the all-you-can-eat menu works. We ordered our appetizers. We only had a certain amount of time to dine and or tune was wasted waiting for our food to come. When my food came, my wings were burnt. The clam chowder lacked abs the calamari was rubbery. I was displeased. I decided to not reorder. My aunt’s drink was water down, but because of how long the waitress came back to our table..I couldn’t even request it to be made over. I had to doctor it myself
Do you know that charge you for lemon and cherries, if requested??? They charge for everything. That’s ridiculous .
The appetizers were okay. The flounder and catfish taste the same though.
Our crab boils finally arrived. The sauce lacked flavor so very much that my wife’s had to add Old Bay seasoning. Even the butter was nasty!!! We had to wait for the waitress again. Thankfully, she extended the time due to her knowing that we waited longer than we were served.
I will not be reccomending this spot to anyone. They have decent pricing… but it the place is filthy and they nickel and dime you for everything.
Now on to the service of our waitress, Candace, she was AMAZING and really made the entire experience better, if it weren’t for her great service, I would have given this place a single star. Maybe they would have the wait staff greet and seat patrons, as they seem to both have better attitudes and professionalism. Candace would definitely make me want to come back if I’m in the area.
The AYCE was also worth the price, and seasoned well. Just wasn’t a fan of the corn and potatoes, both were a little rubbery.
To make matters worse, they charged my one-year-old the kids’ buffet price because she ate a single fry. I have never been to an all-you-can-eat restaurant that charges an infant. When I questioned it, management was rude, unprofessional, and showed zero empathy.
This experience felt like a complete scam. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Between the unreasonable charge and the poor food quality, the entire experience was disappointing. I won’t be returning.
My family are true crab lovers—we would eat crab every day if we could—and the food was terrible. The crab legs were so bad that I completely stopped eating them and started ordering other items instead. Sadly, everything else was just as bad.
To make matters worse, the adult all-you-can-eat price was $42.99, and my teenage daughter—who doesn’t even like crab legs much—was still required to pay the adult price simply because she was seated at the table. That made the experience even more frustrating.
Overall, the quality was nowhere near worth the price. I would rather pay a little more for seafood that actually tastes good and is worth it. This was our first and last visit—never again. Also my baby wanted them to sing Happy Birthday to her. They were well staffed. Our waitress returned and said no one wanted to sing so we sung to her ourselves !! Very disappointing !!
