The food was decent. The restaurant was clean. Most everything served was plastic and disposable. The server was very nice but the staff seemed to have issues with each other. Seeing that while dining was not pleasant. We enjoyed our meal, but I expected more for the money we paid.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Hook & Reel. After eating their food, I ended up getting very sick and it completely ruined my day. When I reached out to the restaurant, not only did they refuse to issue a refund, but they also expected me to drive all the way back there. even after I explained that I was sick and live far away.
The lack of empathy, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable. I shouldn’t have to risk my health or travel a long distance just to be taken seriously. I will not be returning, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values their health or proper customer care.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible service my husband and I received during our recent visit to Hook & Reel. Our waiter, Roberto, truly made our dining experience memorable!
From the moment we sat down, Roberto was welcoming and attentive, ensuring we felt comfortable and well taken care of. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations that made our meal even more enjoyable. His friendly demeanor and genuine passion for his work really stood out, and it’s clear he takes pride in providing exceptional service.

We chose the Hook & Reel since we live in the area but have never eaten here. Our server Kashayla was great, very nice, happy and attentive. She explained the menu items and specials in detail. My husband and I both truly enjoyed our appetizer and food selection. Every item was hot and delicious. So happy we decided to visit and will definitely visit again. If you have not tried the, hush puppies, fried shrimp, catfish basket or garlic butter boil it’s a must. Very satisfied with the service, food and atmosphere. The Millers!!!!!

I visited Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar with a friend and left pretty disappointed. The bar area is very small, yet there was only one bartender working on a Saturday night. To be fair, she was nonstop making drinks and clearly overwhelmed, but there was no check-in at all we had to flag her down every single time we needed something.
What really stood out was the lack of support from management. The manager could clearly see how busy the bar was but didn’t step in or offer help, just kept walking around the restaurant.
The happy hour drinks were good, but the food was a huge letdown. The calamari was the worst I’ve ever had soft, mushy, and not crunchy at all. It tasted like the fish wasn’t fresh. We immediately spit it out.
The atmosphere itself was fine, and surprisingly it wasn’t even that busy for a Saturday night, which makes me concerned about how service would be on an actually busy evening. We ended up canceling our shooter order after waiting 20+ minutes, paid for our drink, and left because the experience had become so unpleasant.
Overall, between the poor service flow, lack of management involvement, and terrible food quality, this was not a good experience at all. Very disappointing.

06/04/2025- A friend and I ate dinner, our orders (1) one crab leg boil bag and (2) one shrimp with no heads boil bag, two glasses of water with lemon! Our waitress was on time, nice, professional. The restaurant was clean and the decor was nice! Plenty of outside parking around. No wait time hardly to be seated. The food came quickly! Yum! Yummy! Loved the experience! Loved the food and the restaurant!

My partner and I genuinely enjoyed the small conversation he struck up with us and it made the dining in experience that much more appealing.
