We ordered the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket with macaroni and baked beans as well as the firebird chicken sandwich.
The brisket was very tender, but not heavily seasoned… You can tell they wanted the meat to speak for itself. The pulled pork was above average as well. The ribs were tender and tasty.
I did order an Old fashioned that tasted like I added some ginger ale to it. It was good but not a standard old fashioned by any means.
Overall the service was great and the food was excellent. We will definitely be returning!

Unfortunately I was quite underwhelmed with the food, perhaps I heard so many good recommendations about this place that my expectations were too high. The brisket platter was so…. Meh. It tasted and looked more like a roast beef. The brisket on the nachos was actually better/not as chewy, maybe because it was shredded and drowning in cheese sauce. I generally don’t like sausage but I liked it here especially in comparison with the brisket disappointment, it was meaty and smokey. Sweet potato fries were good.
The atmosphere is really pleasant and the restaurant felt very homey/cozy. It got fully packed around 6pm Friday night. The service was also pleasant even though a tad slow.

Just ordered takeout on DoorDash. My first time It was great! A little cold, but I can’t blame them for that because it was driven 20 minutes to me. Love that they staple the bag shut. It’s just an extra added attention to detail that 1) Keeps people’s fingers out of your food 2) Kept my takeout deviled eggs, exactly where they were supposed to be so they showed up perfectly intact!
I got brisket, Macaroni and cheese, String beans, Cornbread, And deviled eggs. Very much enjoyed all of it and we will order again.

Came here we’re friends. My 1 friend and I both ordered the pulled chicken platter which comes with 2 sides and a biscuit or corn bread. I got the Mac n cheese and onion petals which also comes with a dipping sauce with a biscuit. My friend got the ff and mac n cheese fries. My 2 other friends got the ribs and pulled pork platter which came with 2 sides and biscuit/cornbread. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. With tax, mine & friends who ordered same as I, came to $18.02 each. Not sure what my other 2 friends paid.

Really nice place. Very casual and laid back!
Great interior with a very friendly staff.
Food was TERRIFIC! My spouse had the burger which was over sized and delicious and cooked to order.
I had the “Hoodie” which was a delicious pulled pork with provolone and Cole slaw on a Kaiser roll.
We will definitely go back!!!

Used to come here after school and get the hoodie. This was back when it was just a counter service restaurant. The sandwich was always good. Came back yesterday after 12 years, and I can confirm the hoodie is still great even if the prices have gone up. They now have a sit down restaurant in addition to their to go order window. Lots of other yummy items on the menu that I would love to come back and try.

I ate dinner here with my fiancée for the first time on Saturday night. Since it was our first time here, we weren’t expecting how busy they were & that we should’ve made reservations. We were told our wait was going to be 30 mins, but luckily, there were 2 openings at the bar. The bar tender, Deanna (hopefully I spelled that right), was great! She let us try the King David cider, which was delicious! My fiancée had bbq chicken & I had the southwestern burger with broccoli salad as my side (I freaking love broccoli salad!), and everything was outstanding!
The food was so good we couldn’t believe we hadn’t been here before having lived in the area for 2+ years but, now that we know, we will certainly be back & we will be bringing all our friends & family with us ❤️

I was at a graduation party the night before and they served Hood’s pulled pork and Mac and cheese! I was so impressed I drove there the next day to check it out. I ordered a cheeseburger and ate it there and ordered 2 pounds of pulled pork to take home. OUTSTANDING!

Love the decor inside. Wish I had better pics to show. It got very busy and I didn’t see many servers (in their defense my back was to them) so we did wait a long time to have are order taken and to then be told we have to get our own drinks at the bar. Our server was very helpful in menu decisions and once the food order was in, it did come out timely. The food was delicious!!! I love the mushroom soup. I could have taken a gallon home. The platter was so yummy. Good portion size, not to little, not too much. I so wanted to try their pumpkin dessert but sadly I couldn’t fit it in my stomach no matter how much I wanted to . Guess a good reason to go back!

First, I waited a while at the window to pick up my order before someone helped me. I couldn’t even finish my mushroom soup. Did not taste as good as it did a couple years ago. So disappointed. Hush puppies weren’t horrible but weren’t awesome either. Little disappointed at the small mac and cheese portion, but the rest of the meal was fine. Enjoyed the food so much last time….was it a fluke of an order or has it changed in the last couple years?

I loved the staff and service. Everyone was lovely and very welcoming.
I really wanted to like the food, but everything was kind of bland. The meat by itself lacked seasoning, with bbq sauce was ok. Everything was very sweet also: the sauce, the coleslaw, the cornbread.
