My Partner and I were in Minnesota, and needed a quick bite to eat. This place was simply “okay”. The food was a good price and filling, and that is about all I can say about it. It was fairly bland overall, and the space was definitely nothing to write home about.

I think if you can, you might be best suited to go to other places; it was just okay, and nothing to take away from this experience other than it was well priced.

In our 1 day stop in this town we decided to go for Thai. Glad we were not disappointed! Though the place can use a bit of updating, the food was pretty good and made up for the lack of ambience. We had the egg rolls, potstickers, chicken satay, the thai fried rice, and the pineapple fried rice. I really enjoyed the eggrolls and potstickers, while my husband loved the fried rice and chicken satay. Everything was fresh and pretty good!

Food was quick to the table and hot.
Spring rolls and eggs rolls are a must have.
Pineapple fried rice has a burnt taste, but nothing was burnt on the plate. Over all good
Pad Thai was good, next will order a 3 for a bit more heat.

Service was good and answered questions well.
Had great recommendations for mean choices.

Only down side was that if you are in the dinning room you can hear when people the kitchen.

Forgot to tip, sorry. Food was very good, portions are right and not overloaded. Ower seems like a pretty good guy, he is direct, his place his rules, so I am good with that. Had people come in and did not like that he was carrying, well it is his right as a business owner to do so, if you don’t like it then just leave you don’t have to complain or voice your opinion. Food is great, Owner’s a good guy and service was great, just forgot to tip because we were talking to the owner. You are missing really good food by not eating here and letting fear take control of you!

We heard about Hong Thai being good so we thought we would check it out. This is a hidden gem!!
This place has great food and the best customer service! These are the best Wontons I have ever had.
The lady working the front desk, phones, and serving all at the same time was phenomenal. She was always calm as they were extremely busy with take out orders. She was genuine and friendly. I would highly recommended giving this place a try.

I ordered the Lad Esan with beef, and it was amazing. The dish was packed with flavor, with the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The cucumber was fresh and crisp, and the entire dish was just bursting with flavor.
I highly recommend Hong Thai. I look forward to returning with some friends so we can sample the many flavorful dishes they offer.

I ordered the beef jerky, papaya salad (Som Tum), and Larb Esan. The portions are small. The larb was good. It was on the salty side and could use more herbs. The jerky wasnt rock hard like a lot of other places but it was too sweet. The papaya was also very sweet. Thai style papaya tends to be on the sweeter side already but this was very sweet. The sauce for the jerky tasted off. It was not good and taste like a ketchup base.
