Hong Kong Restaurant – Travel Oregon
The Hong Kong is a Grants Pass staple. It sold a little over a year ago, and it took the new owners a bit to figure it out. I am happy to say they are finally …

We’re always here either Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Jerry is the reason we started coming here. We go to the bar side when he’s working. The atmosphere is authentic, fuzzy gold wallpaper and chandeliers. The restrooms/bar are clean. The food is delicious. They cater to your spice level and of all things they have delicious hamburgers! Even on the restaurant side, Jennifer(the manager) is always making sure everyone is enjoying their experience. Oh and the prices are reasonable.

This place is all around fantastic! My family and I tried it for the first time about 4 months ago and ever since have been back probably 6 times. The portions are so big and the food is so delicious!!! Mind you I’m very picky with my Chinese food and this place is the best!! The people there are so nice as well. Every waiter that we’ve had was always so friendly!
We had the special combination dinner for two people this last time. There was enough food to feed me, my boyfriend, daughter. And enough for us all to have leftovers!!

I’ll start of by saying the waitress was very friendly and absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately the food was Disgusting, inedible.
The wonton soup was bland, soggy.
We ordered the special family combination and Mongolian beef.
Rice was fluffy but had a strange after taste.
The chicken chow mein tasted like cleaner.
The pork and chicken were so hard and dry we couldn’t even cut through it 🙁
We took one bite of each thing and didn’t touch it again.
Our waitress asked if everything was ok, I was honest and told her it wasn’t good at all.
They offered us a 10% discount off our bill.
Paid $58.00 I do NOT RECOMMEND.

Ordered a family style meal for 2, egg rolls, and crab puffs . The family meal for 2 is not enough for food 2 people. It would have been cheaper to get 2 combo meals with more food. Not worth the money.

This is old school Chinese food at its finest. The selection is great, everything I’ve had on this menu is fantastic and don’t forget to try the pink sauce. It’s a southern Oregon thing, I’ve never seen it anywhere else, but it’s at all the Chinese restaurants in southern Oregon it really does add to the flavor of the dishes location is easy to fine if you’re just passing through town and the decor looks like they haven’t changed it in 30 or 40 years makes me love it even more.

Used to really love this place. Twice now when I’ve attempted to order the person answering the phone cannot speak super clear English. Which I am saying nothing bad about but, it’s very hard to understand what they’re saying. I’ve had quick questions about how to order and I’ve been treated super rudely and hung up on! If you can’t take orders on the phone please just say so. It seemed easier to call, we were totally willing to wait longer if need be. So very sad. Absolutely no need to be so unkind and blatantly rude.

This Chinese food is perfect! If you love the taste of wet moldy barfed on cardboard! – chow mein – rice. The most god awful Chinese food I can ever remember having! After 1 bite I ran outside so fast I nearly hurt my back and drop kicked it across the driveway!. BLAH! YUCK! CACA!. I purposely purchased take out bc the of the dilapidated fixtures and out dated interiorI are so depressing I feared I might become so depressed I’d hurt myself later. Keep your $$ in your pocket and go elsewhere. To date the only and best! Chinese food I’ve found is in Medford called new tin tin. It’s awesome food in a nice atmosphere, trust me it’s worth the drive and price! All you can eat.

Our first visit was fun. The food was great and plentiful, even though one reviewer said the portions were small. Kim, our server, was fantastic and we will see her again! The one criticism I have is that the tables out of service for COVID spacing had a thick layer of dust on them. All in all, though, lots of good food at fair prices. Try it!

The food is good but do NOT order online to go. I spent over a hundred dollars to feed 8 people thinking there would be a ton of food. I walked out with what only fed 4 people. I did not get to eat because there wasn’t enough food. Total rip off. Never again. Next time I’m going to China Hut. At least I get what I pay for there.

Returned after many years to try again… Wasn’t too impressed. Portions are good service was fine but did take awhile to get seated (one employee was at front desk doing phone orders, to go orders, cashing out other patrons, and seating people) but we were patient. The food – Sweet and Sour Chicken was good, Fried Rice was good but an up charge on my meal plus you get charged for additional empty plates, crazy?? Finally my Szechuan Chicken well, It was wierd… Nothing how i’ve ever had and a solid pass for ordering again. The sauce tasted like a spicy ketchup with a hint of buffalo sauce IDK what was in it but I prefer the flavor from China Hut up the street. Not sure we will return.
