So I’ve been coming to this Chinese place so many times bc my daughter and nephew enjoy the food the Asian women know us for coming to this place often and they know my daughter does not talk yesterday I had a incident with the Asian employees My daughter is non verbal has autism spectrum disorder and she does vocal sounds and wasn’t bothering anyone. My daughter was focused on her tablet the Asian manager send a coworker to tell my daughter who is 5 years old to be quiet. to stop making vocal sounds then the Asian manager came out to tell my daughter to be quiet saying exactly twice no more ahh no more ahh go ! I stand up and told her that she is diagnose with autism and that I shouldn’t even be giving her an explanation about my child health if she has a problem because of my daughter making vocal sounds she has to deal with it and she shouldn’t be telling a lil girl that’s 5 years old to be quiet and that I’m not gonna force my daughter to be quiet if she isn’t doing anything wrong that she is discriminating a child with special needs! Manager proceeded to yell at me and my child to get out. I did left to avoid further confrontation with her but I feel she discriminated my daughter for her vocal sound. The manager crossed the line by approaching a child directly. This incident occurred on 04/17/25.

I enjoy ordering take out at Hong Kong Express on Olympic Blvd in Los Angeles every so often. I order white rice and orange chicken bowl here. It’s never been a problem. I wouldn’t know whether workers are rude or yelling because I’m ignorant to the language and it’s tone etiquette spoken by employees. That being I wouldn’t avoid this place based on the amount of bad reviews for rude customers service. There are no shortage of customers for this restaurant. Regarding quality of food, it’s tasty with satisfying portions in my opinion. I do enjoy ordering take out in moderation. Dining atmosphere has never appealed to me. Parking is easy.

The food can sometimes good and bad it depends on the day you visit. I have always been going to this Chinese food because it was my favorite one but the customers service is horrible. I have been dealing with the bad customer service because I thought they would improve but it hasn’t changed at all! Today I went to the restaurant and my sister was ordering food and they mixed up her order and she was trying to tell them but they would ignore her so I went and told them if they can change it before it would get mix up with the other ingredients (she just wanted white rice with hot wings but they put chew main ) it was a women who was serving her but she seemed confused so I try to explain again but she didn’t understand me so she asked a man to help us instead. And he also didn’t understand us and started screaming at me. He continued screaming at me while I try to tell him that I only wanted to change the chew main with white rice but he didn’t listened to me at all because you could only hear him screaming at me. After the lady who was helping us before remove him. Somehow she understood what I wanted and placed my order but both of them started to talk in their language while looking at me. Overall I had enough so I decided to not go back because they will never change. If you go to this restaurant I would recommend to have a lot of patience because they will literally scream at you for the smallest thing.

Customer service could be better, employees don’t understand either English or Spanish. Somehow got my order switched on me the last 2 times I was there. They add way too much MSG woke up with a massive headache. ( i never get headaches) Make sure u drink a lot of water if u plan on eating there. As for me, thanks for the memories. Never again.

The food is great. They need to work on their friendly skills. They treat you with an attitude. Not to mention the man serving is stingy with the food compared to the lady she serves your plate to the point where the plate doesn’t close right. For my luck I always get the man. Other than that the food is great.

So I may be partial since I have been coming here for years, but the food is pretty good for the most part and the prices are about the same as anywhere else. Now that being said there will be times were the food is meh and the service could be better sometimes, but I am indifferent towards the workers attitudes. The rice and Jalapeño wings are bomb and for what I got it was around $7.

GREAT food, but I felt the need to give it three stars because of the stares I got from those horrid Asian ladies. They rush you so hard they forget to put the side of terayaki sauce in the bag. They’re lucky their food tastes so good or my mood for the rest of the day would’ve ruined everyone else.
