The BEST place to eat in the WORLD!… SERIOUSLY this is my favorite place to eat of ANY PLACE IN THE WORLD! I LOVE the Hong Kong Buffet in Manitowoc! The food is AMAZING! EVERYTHING on the buffet is GREAT, and there is SO MUCH SEAFOOD! The service is 5 Stars! I drive from Green Bay to eat here at least once or twice a month. If Hong Kong Buffet was in a bigger city there would be line of people waiting for blocks to eat here.

12/25/24 7pm. Closes at 9pm. Sure even better food earlier. Lots of flavor and hot spicier than any other we’ve tried. Excellent Egg Drop Soup. 5 shrimp selections, fried scallops, 2 Alaskan crab choices, mussels, crawdads and squid around all the normal Chinese buffet choices. Restroom needs some repairs. Restaurant clean, but worn. Nice Chinese background music, well lit and air temperature fine. 12/26/24 plates were warm. Only buffet anywhere we’ve been where they were.

We ate here tonight and I’m not sure how to rate it yet. The appearance of the inside interior definitely needs an update. It is very old and worn out. We came about 6:00 PM and there were only about three other tables in the restaurant. A lot of the food on the buffet had been sitting for a little while, you could see the top layers of some dishes solidifying. A lot of the dishes that had sauce looked very greasy, you could see the grease in the sauce. I started off with chow mei fun (which I normally love at other restaurants) and it had a strange spice to it, I did not like it. I also tasted the pork fried rice with some cashew chicken, the chicken tasted bad to me and I did not finish it. The pork egg roll was okay. I was not sure if I wanted to get a second plate but I went back up. They were refilling some of the dishes with new food so this time I got some Hong Kong Chicken (which was really good ) and some stuffed mushrooms (which were also very good) and a veggie spring roll (which was good). Third time I tried some crab bake (was good) and the Crab Rangoon (they looked under cooked but the flavor was good). At one point I tried the wonton soup (not a fan) and the fried dumping (it was okay). I’m trying to decide if I would like to give the restaurant a second chance. If I would go again I would definitely go during a peak time of the day to ensure that I get all fresh food to create a better opinion.

We wanted a Chinese buffet or even takeout. There are few choices in the area. We were taken to a table that was backed right up to the cash register so we moved over one table. The chairs were very worn down as well as the booths. The food selection was large with a variety of food. I found it odd that they were using a microwave. The general tso chicken had a good flavor but it was wet. The waitress was friendly but she made it somewhat uncomfortable staring while we eating.

American Chinese is not as flavourful as it’s actual origin, but everything here was bland beyond the norm.
The food was fresh, plentiful meats, and veggies. The buffet was super clean, well stocked, and had many options.
However, the overall taste in the dishes wasn’t there.

Great food for the price I was surprised they had crab legs. I would definitely recommend this place for food options.The place is located at Big plaza so you can park Big truck no problem.

This place was horrible, when I got in some girl seated me and looked at me up and down with wide eyes which made me feel uncomfortable, I went and followed her to my seat which was in the pathway of where most people walk, I was seated next to a coughing man who had no manners and the food was discussing, they had octopus infesting the food and didn’t do anything to get rid of it, the atmosphere was filthy and when I left I tried to grab a mint and the bowl was empty. the tv was off

Typical Chinese buffet but not a very good one. Found what I believe is a worm in my food and lost my appetite. The lady behind the counter said no it’s just rice and squished it in her fingers. Doesn’t look like rice to me… they gave us $5 off

I’ve been coming to Hong Kong buffet since it was in downtown Manitowoc. Since they’ve moved it’s the same lady she’s the best!!! Best chinese buffet in the area by far including the fox valley and green bay area. The Hong Kong chicken is a must have everytime we go. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other chinese buffets as well. A must stop if you’re in the Manitowoc area looking for chinese food!
