I have to say, the last time I was at Hong Hua was pre-Covid, and it was amazing back then—so when I saw a TikTok saying they were open for lunch again, I knew I had to go back. My buddy sent me the video and I was like, “When are we going?” So we finally went, and let me tell you… this place is STILL absolutely incredible.

I ordered the almond boneless chicken, and it was phenomenal—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and everything I hoped it would be. The egg drop soup? Oh my God, easily some of the best I’ve had. And the egg roll was delicious, crispy, and packed with flavor.

Hands-down, the food is fantastic and the service is truly top-notch. Hong Hua continues to be one of the best spots around, and I’m so glad they’re serving lunch again. I’ll definitely be back!

Top notch Food, very authentic Chinese food. The staff is the best, food service is fast and delicious. 3 dining rooms and can host larger gatherings. The bar service is well stocked Chinese and American beverages. Atmosphere is relaxing and not loud when busy. This restaurant design is relaxing.
Thx for a wonderful time and mouth-watering dinner.

Elevated Chinese cusine, with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. A very elaborate menu, and a little higher on the price side, but then again, you are paying for the whole experience here, and it will be amazing. The food was exquisite, not extremely authentic, but for the location, it was excellent, as Farmington Hills is not so populated with Chinese folk, and I did see many patrons, so it said a lot just walking into the dining room.
We had a large party, and it took a while for us to get our drinks, our soup was already at the table, and no drinks served yet.
Love the ambiance here, glamorous and refined.

Hong Hua is in an interesting position, in which it targets a luxury experience and great eats. The environment certainly meets those expectations as it feels more like a higher end, business focused feel with the refinement, yet everyone seems to be in street casual mode. Also food is offered in a a’la cart style very similar to a higher end steak house; you bill can scale up quickly because of this.

Food: The menu certainly has specialized dishes you won’t find in the average Chinese restaurant. Peking Duck is one of those things you should certainly try; it’s an broasted duck served with a unique pancake & sauces. I’ve been going here off and on for the past 10 years and they seem consistent. IMHO I feel leans toward the western taste, meaning heightened emphasis on certain spices such as salt. I’ve had the opportunity to sample authentic Chinese foods in China & other Asian countries. In terms of authenticity I give them an A-; it’s tasty

Price: Seems to be on the higher end; from 1-10…I’d say level 7 or 8.

We always come here for special events such as birthdays, etc… It’s been a while since we were here. We like the Peking duck and lobster with crispy fried rice. Both were up to par. Nothing has changed, but it is still very delicious. We even tried the fresh oysters and they were good. Oh, prices were a bit higher this time. Service was also very good with attentive service staff. The only negative that I noticed was that the chairs were a little sticky and the interior wood decor really needed a paint refresh to maintain its luxurious atmosphere, especially the front doors. Overall it was a good experience.

First and foremost i never leave reviews but felt like this was warranted. We were there for 3 hours and 15 minutes. It took 40 minutes to order our food and our appetizers were not there for a hour and half. Johnny our server and his manager clearly lied about putting our food into the system and repeatedly blamed it on the kitchen. The only way we could get anything including our water was by asking a girl who wasn’t even serving our table. Our food came out after 2 and a half hours into the evening and was still missing items. The last person that got their meal was 2 hours and 50 minutes into our time there. Nothing was comped off of the bill which is absolutely unacceptable. The only reason i’m giving this a 1 star is because the food is great. I recommend not dining in and only ordering carry out but be prepared to wait.

Used to come here often for the authentic Chinese food. Came here recently a couple times and I find that the quality has dropped slightly compared to previous years (just speaking for the Chinese menu though. Did not try the Americanized Chinese menu). Overall decent food, good atmosphere and service.

Delicious, authentic Chinese food. I ordered the Peking duck in 3 ways and it was enough to feed 3 to 4 people.

The three ways we chose to have it made was:
1. Shaved duck pieces for making into a sandwich
2. Soup
3. Stir fried with bean sprouts

We also got some tofu that was very fresh.
