I grew up in Mequon and I love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful with bamboo and the large Koi fish tank. The staff is warm and friendly and I love that they recognize me when I come back. And this is by far my favorite Chinese food in the Metro Milwaukee area! I recommend the gigantic egg rolls with pork and shrimp. I also like the pork fried rice and the shrimp kow.

Today was my first time trying Hong Anh Palace, and I’m so glad I did. Their food was fantastic, and value was incredible for the quality and portion size. I tried their veggie egg roll (huge, fried perfectly, and one of the best I’ve had in ages), vegetable fried rice (deliciously seasoned, and generous with the veggies), orange chicken (the perfect level of sweetness, and came with orange slices cooked right in), and salt and pepper shrimp (well seasoned, complex flavors). It was a little crowded so you may have to be a little patient, but I’d absolutely recommend this for anyone looking for a great American Chinese meal. At this time I believe they only offer dine-in during lunch hours, but have extended hours for carry-out.

This is the first time I’m trying food from here. It has received good reviews so I gave it a try. I placed an order for pick up. I definitely wanted to try their egg rolls because it has peanut butter in them. I first tasted egg rolls with peanut butter at Peach Garden, but they are long gone. I have to say this vegetable egg roll has got to be the best I ever had. The flavor of the filling inside is very tasty. It’s fried to a nice golden color with a nice crunch. It’s also nice and plump with ample filling. They also offer a minced pork and shrimp egg roll. I also ordered chicken fried rice. You get a lot of rice for the order. It’s made with bean sprouts, egg, green onion and chicken. That’s the way I like it prepared. I asked for the rice to be prepared a little darker but it came a little pale still but the flavor wasn’t lacking especially when I added some soy sauce to it. I really enjoyed the food especially when it has been difficult to find a Chinese restaurant with food prepared like how I remembered it years ago. I will be returning to try their other dishes.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. The dumplings are delicious and well worth the 30 min wait for them. House special and shrimp with lobster sauce are my top favorites dishes. I used to work closer and had it often but whenever I’m back in the area I make it a point to stop in. Covid killed the Buffet and it is definitely missed. I still hope they bring it back someday.

I love the food and the service here. Right now, they don’t have dine in for dinner, but they do for lunch. However, if you order take out, you won’t regret it. Hands down, the best Chinese food around. I highly recommend you try it for yourself!

I wanted a nice Chinese buffet lunch. I looked up this restaurant that I used to visit frequently. Google map information stated there would be a lunch buffet.
There is NO LUNCH BUFFET.
This information should be updated.
I was disappointed but decided to eat anyway.
I think they’re only open from 11 to 2 for dine in. A sign on the door said take out only (at certain times).
I ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup ($3.50) and the mixed appetizer plate ($10).
The soup was okay but not great. It was a small cup of soup and I thought it wasn’t much considering the 3.50 price. It had plenty of tofu and bamboo shoots but not much meat, though there was some. The flavor was not balanced either; it was needed more of the vinegar flavor.
The appetizer platter was excellent. The egg roll was huge and stuffed full of various ingredients including tiny shrimp. It was hot and crunchy outside.
The wontons were fried perfectly and were also very tasty. The beef skewer was average. It didn’t have much flavor and was not tender. The shrimp was shaped into a circle and at first I thought it was an onion ring. The chicken was a nice piece of chicken breast but it had too much breading on it for my taste. Five stars for this dish.
The appetizer platter was served with small pitchers of duck sauce and spicy mustard sauce.
I drank water and the wait staff did a pretty good job keeping my glass full. I could have had a few more refills but I understand they’ve got a lot to do.
For some reason I didn’t have any napkins at my table, just the silverware. I had to request napkins.

1st time we ate here it was great. The 2nd time it was just horrible. The rice was sticky like literally. We couldn’t figure what was on it. The Chinese fried chicken was dried and burnt. We thought we found a good Chinese food restaurant but were let down. Plus we wasted $46 because we had to throw it away because we were too suspicious of the unknown sticky stuff on the rice.

First time here and saw the great reviews! I was craving a real house-made egg rolls and it did not disappoint! Eggroll was huge and delicious! I also ordered the spicy pork and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be! Piping hot freshly made food, worth every penny, portion was generous, thanks Hong Anh Palace! I will definitely be coming back with more family and friends!

Super nice gentleman took order over phone. Food was ready for pick up in 1/2 hour. My first time ordering here as I’m new to the neighborhood. Food was super fresh and very generous portions! Egg rolls were fantastic! Moo sho beef, and beef curry was amazing! I’ll definitely be back!

Git some takeout from Hong Anh and I thoroughly enjoyed what I got! Got take-out so can’t comment on the service, location or restaurant itself! The food however was very good! I got hout and sour soup and it was very good! My main course was this Cantonese beef and Veggie and nuts dish and it was very good, no questions asked there. Overall very good, no complaints I can think of!
Pictures are of the menu and food I got!
