First time in and first table seated for their new years offering. Waiter had a few too many punch lines for my taste but the food was definitely top tier. I asked for a box not to be treated like an idiot. Can I get a box and he said something along the lines of I dont know can you? 250 plus we spent on dinner I expected better.

My wife and I had been here before last time we visited Lexington. This time we wanted to treat our local friends to a nice dinner, and we had a fantastic dining experience!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy yet elegant, making it a great spot for a casual outing or a special occasion.
Honeywood’s food and drink menu is diverse, the service is always good and the vibe is great.
We tried many dishes, including the following:
Sweet potato beignets.
Shrimp & grits.
Crab rice.
Huntsman cassoulet.
Salmon.
Mac & cheese and fries.
Beetloaf.
Cocktails.
Everything was delicious and good. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was on point. Our server was good but seemed a bit rushed.
The restaurant is located in a great shopping plaza with plenty to do within walking distance. There is plenty of free parking around.
We were happy, satisfied, and eager to return! Overall, 100% recommended.

Came on Saturday and it was the brunch menu. I wanted the smash burger and thankfully it’s on the menu for brunch. But I love lunch during the week with the ham and bean soup. Tomato is always good though. Great atmosphere.

My friend and I had an incredible dining experience at Honeywood Restaurant! The menu was diverse, and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. The burger was absolutely delicious—juicy, perfectly cooked, and topped with fresh, flavorful ingredients. We also tried one of their seafood dishes, which was just as amazing. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was stunning. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy yet elegant, making it a great spot for a casual outing or a special occasion. We left feeling happy, satisfied, and eager to return!

My wife and i had dinner there and it was very good. We tried the sweet potatoe beignets since they seemed like an interesting dish. They were not fluffy like a typical beignet but creamy. Paired with the pepper jelly they were really good. The shrimp and grits could use some more flavoring but they were OK. I had the lamb burger and it was cooked great. Juicy and not dry. If you like lamb, you will enjoy this. The interior of the restaurant was nice and service was excellent.

Came here for dinner on a weeknight. We made a reservation but we didn’t need it, the place was empty. Food took an hour to be served which made everyone very hungry. The restaurant was also very cold, so everyone was freezing while waiting hungry. When the food finally arrived, it was mixed reviews at the table. 2 of the 5 people did not enjoy the food at all. One questioned if there was still scales on the salmon while the chicken dish had sauce that was basically a soup which was off-putting. Everyone else enjoyed their food though.
On a positive note they served crank and boom ice cream for dessert which was a nice way to end every meal.

Came by one day for lunch with my girlfriend. Food was amazing! She ended up getting their Smash Burger, while I ordered their Shrimp and Grits. She really enjoyed the burger, but their Shrimp and Grits were some of the best I’ve had in my life, especially in Central Kentucky. We also ordered their Sweet Potato Beignets and Fried Oysters which were both fantastic as well. Service and value were also great. One think to keep in mind if you want to visit is that it’s probably best to go ahead and out in a reservation if you know you want to visit.

Upon viewing the menu, it was interesting to see that a starter at a place to eat could be pork rinds. But these were pretty tasty! Paired with that honey, it was quite a nice combo. I also had the chicken sandwich, it was really good and juicy, enjoyable down to the last bite 🙂
Several weeks prior, I’d tried their Eggs Benedict (not shown here) and wow… quite a cornucopia of flavor, I will say! Some of the best hollandaise sauce I’d ever tasted! The service was good too, i just lost the receipt and can’t remember the name :(.
But I’d say, check this place out!

I’ve been a restaurant chef & manager for 40yrs. I stopped by to get a small side of pickles cause they are good. To take home. Walked to the bar and asked for a 4oz size of pickles, I asked how much? I guess no one has ever done that before so, they told me after being confused $2.00. I was like dang I could get a jar for that. Kinda of kidding. The day bartender ” checking out her bar drawer” said to me “well you can go to whole foods and get it.” And then, went back talking shit about me ordering the pickles laughing and so on. I heard it. The manager was sitting right there. Said nothing. I asked if they were making fun of me? I paid, said to the manager I don’t care if I’m spending $2.00 or $50. That’s not hospitality or good business sense. I’ll never go back. I don’t do this often at all. In fact I’ve never posted anything about a restaurant.

This is a really great spot for elevated southern food! We went for a late lunch, so the restaurant was running pretty slow, but the food was worth the wait! Everything I tried was delicious, particularly the sweet potato beignets! I also really enjoyed the rabbit and dumplings, which was the special of the day.
