In the heart of Davenport, is our mom-and-pop shop, Honey’s BBQ. In 2025, we purchased Honey’s BBQ and overhauled everything from the menu to the recipes to the dining room decor. Quality homemade food is at the heart of everything we do, and we love hearing how much our customers enjoy our delicious family recipes! Where are we eating today?
I would like to express that the food was excellent. Without a doubt, these are the best ribs I have ever had. The wings were equally delicious. The brisket was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection; although, in my personal opinion, it could have used a little more salt.
The beans, mac and cheese, and coleslaw were very well prepared. The cornbread, in particular, stood out for its soft texture and its natural, fresh flavor. Overall, the quality and freshness of the food were outstanding.
However, I believe it is important to mention that the service experience was not what I expected. The attitude of the short-haired lady with glasses was not the most appropriate for customer service. This was not only my personal perception, as a similar attitude was observed toward other customers as well.
I understand that employees represent the image of the restaurant, and when the service does not match the quality of the food, the overall experience can be affected.
Despite this, I acknowledge that the food is very delicious and fresh, and it reflects a high level of quality.

The sides were generally really good. The fried curds and the potato salad were very good. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the BBQ experience shared by many others. The brisket didn’t have any smoke taste or seasoning and was very gelatinous due to the fat not being rendered. It actually looked/tasted like it was roasted (grey meat), not smoked. They didn’t have ribs, so we ordered a good amount of brisket. It unfortunately wasn’t a great experience for BBQ for us.

BEST BBQ I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!!!!! We got the table for two platter. We chose pulled pork, moist brisket, green beans, mac & cheese, and fried cheese curds. Platter comes with corn bread. Delicious!!! Every single thing was fantastic!!! The brisket was so juicy and flavorful. Melt in your mouth. The sauces are phenomenal… my favorite is the Blazing Hot. They also have a Touch of Heat, Carolina Gold and a Sweet Honey BBQ. All were very good!! Super impressed and love how local it is for us. The lady who sat us was so sweet and kind, very friendly!!! Met one of the owners as well, lovely guy and very passionate about Honey BBQ!! My wife and I WILL be back with the rest of our family. Wishing much continued success!!!

What a great find! Honey’s BBQ is a wonderful place to stop for awesome BBQ. The service was excellent; the staff is knowledgeable of the menu. The spice on the fries make the fries the best. I loved the cornbread and brisket. You have to try the sweet honey BBQ sauce.

My family and I are absolutely OBSESSED with Honey’s BBQ. If you haven’t tried their ribs, brisket, wings, and nachos you’re truly missing out! You can tell a lot of love is put into the food by how flavorful it is. I also want to mention that the customer service is amazing! Brenda treats us like family each and every single time we visit. If you’re looking to have amazing food at any gathering preorder online or call in to see about their catering services…you will not be disappointed as everything on their menu is super tasty! We always look forward to stopping by and seeing what new/secret menu items are added ❤️

I was pleasantly surprised with Honey’s Bee Bee Que. I highly recommend this place. Hands down one of the cleanest places I’ve been too. Brenda was so nice and welcoming. She reviewed the entire menu with us. She recommend the family platter and let me tell you everything on that platter was amazing. Everything was bursting with flavors. One of my favorites was those cute little corn muffins. We will definitely be back and tell all our friends & family.

We found out through TikTok that it’s under new ownership/management and wanted to see what changes were made. I preface this review with the fact that we arrived at 8:15PM on a Tuesday night when they close at 9PM and I’m sure they had been prepping for close already.
We started with the “Southwest Corn Nuggets” but I forgot to get a picture. They were DELICIOUS!
The wife had the “Smoked Chicken Wings” in Habanero Sauce. They were good but a little dry.
I had the “Smokehouse Sampler” and subbed the Prime Brisket for Brisket Jalapeño Sausage as they were out of the Prime Brisket. It was really good but again everything was a tad on the dry side.
The sauces were also very good. The “touch of heat” I think it was called was my favorite. I would have liked the Carolina Gold to be thicker but it was still very tasty. It’s be nice to see a sauce option with “No Sugar” as my wife can’t have much sugar and it can make her very sick.
Overall the food was good and we will go back again.
Now for the staff. We only met Brenda, our waitress. SHE WAS AWESOME! Very friendly and personable. We chatted a bit and she added to the experience. Thanks Brenda!

Saw this place in Central Florida Eats on Fox tv- we drove about an hour- and it was amazing!! fabulous bbq! loved the banana pudding!! pork nachos! we shared a smoker platter! our server Jessie was warm and engaging!

First of all, our server Maria, ABSOLUTELY amazing. She gave us suggestions as soon as we sat down, was super nice and friendly, loved the way she treated my abuela; with the up most respect. The food came out extremely fast and the corn nuggets were my absolute favorite thing we got. However; the only reason for a 4 star review is just because my pulled pork and chicken sandwich was very bland. It kinda felt like I needed to put a lot of BBQ sauce for it to have a bit of flavor. But, I think that might just be a one off as everything else was amazing. Would definitely go back again, might try something new. Also, they give cast members and first responders a discount which is amazing.
Edit: came back and changed my review for my second visit. Again, server is AMAZING. Brenda, thank you for making my night better than my day was. The owner was so kind and made sure to make my second experience wonderful. I got the brisket with Mac today, and boy was it full of flavor. So glad I tried it and I’m so glad I came back for a second time. Thank you guys so much for this wonderful experience and making it right for us. Definitely will come back!
