This was, hands down, the most amazing biscuit breakfast sandwich experience I’ve ever had.
From the very first bite, it was clear this wasn’t just another breakfast sandwich — it was on a whole different level. The biscuit was perfectly flaky, buttery, and warm, with just the right balance of crisp edges and soft, fluffy inside. The eggs, cheese and bacon were fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, making every bite better than the last.
My girlfriend summed it up perfectly when she said,
“How can one bite put North Carolina biscuits to shame?”
And honestly… she wasn’t wrong.
If you’re even remotely considering trying this place for breakfast, do yourself a favor and go. The sandwiches alone are worth the trip.

The cafe is cute, the staff are friendly, and the food is delicious! I got the habanero ham sandwich with tomato and caramelized onion added, and it might be the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The biscuit was crumbly and fluffy, and the sandwich had the perfect balance of sweet and salty with a perfectly cooked fried egg. My honeycomb latte was also delicious. I sat out back to eat my breakfast and read a book while looking out over the pond, 10/10 experience would highly recommend.

We were out sightseeing and decided on breakfast. The BF picked the Honeycomb Cafe because they were close. He searched for diners and the Cafe came up. It’s definitely not a diner. The food, while tasty and well done is eclectic and mostly vegan or vegetarian. There were a few things that were not, but nothing mainstream like simple eggs and toast.
The BF had the breakfast burrito and said it was very tasty. I had the figgy piggy. The jam was good, as was the bacon but I couldn’t taste the Brie at all. The coffee was nice and hot with a good variety.

Wow! These donuts are the best donuts I have ever had! I got a dozen for my office and everyone can’t stop talking about how good they are! The texture is literally perfect I will definitely need to try some of the other menu items now ☺️

First timer here, and what a treat. I had a lemon custard donut and a hot black coffee. Coffee was excellent, not too bitter nor acidic. Ever eaten lemon meringue pie and just wished you could eat the lemon filling part over and over again? That’s what was inside this donut, but but tangier, sweeter, and a better creamy texture. Also had a killer breakfast burrito. It was loaded with scrambled egg, bell peppers, some other vegetables I can’t remember, and jalapenos. Best and super-loaded breakfast burrito I’ve ever had as well. 10/10, would drop everything and go there again in a heartbeat.

Finally made it to the Honeycomb Cafe, and I’m really glad I did! I had no idea this place existed, but now I can’t wait to go back. It reminds me a lot of St. Joe’s in Scarborough, though the portions here are a bit smaller.
The space is great — plenty of indoor seating, outdoor tables, and lots of parking too. You order at the counter, and they call out your number, so don’t expect table service. Their breakfast sandwich options are super creative, and everything’s under $10! Can’t beat that. I tried the Casco Bay, and it was delicious. You could really taste each ingredient. My only regret was not adding an extra egg for just 75 cents.
That’s another thing I loved about Honeycomb Cafe — no nickel and diming here. The coffee, including iced coffee, was really affordable, and extras like eggs (even vegan eggs!) are just 75 cents. Much respect!

Cute little spot!
I had an Asiago bagel with veggie cream cheese, the veggie cream cheese had huge chunks of vegetables in it, which I wasn’t too fond of, so I didn’t eat much.
My family ordered sausage egg & cheese on croissants which were good!
Cinnamon roll was okay.
Coffee was okay.
Service was very kind!
I think if I ordered one of their speciality items I would have enjoyed it more! It looks like that’s what they’re known for.

One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit and everything about it was perfect. We also got a Boston Cream Donut that was great. The cream filling was very good and you could tell the donuts were homemade! They have hot and iced coffee as well. Highly recommend.
