Went here for valentines night for the 5 course taster menu. The menu was well thought out, beautifully presented and served perfectly, by the extremely attentive staff. Delicious food, very romantic settings, with a pianist and singer performing in the background to set the mood. We will be back again. (Photos aren’t the best as I didn’t want the flash on my camera ruining everyone’s night)

Excellent afternoon tea experience. The sandwiches and desserts were fresh and the scones were so lovely. My husband and I tried various tea flavours and we loved all the ones we tried.
The highlight of our visit was our friendly host Jeremiah who took excellent care of us and he was so attentive. He was very knowledgeable and helped us pick the right beverages. I would highly recommend the afternoon tea at the honey restaurant.
We would also like to give a shout out to Louis the restaurant manager who was so kind to give us a tour of what used to be the old bank. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and we highly appreciate the time he took to make our afternoon tea experience subliminal with the surprise tour of the ground floor. We finally redeemed a gift at Hotel Gotham given to us for our anniversary whereby we enjoyed Champagne afternoon tea. Everything on offer was gorgeous and we had the nice little touch of an anniversary plate. Ali our waiter was fabulous and very attentive. We were also lucky enough to get a table by the window. Next time though I booking to stay over and enjoy the hotel for more than just a couple of hours

Enjoyed a wonderful meal for my husband’s birthday at the Honey restaurant at Hotel Gotham in Manchester. This was the 5 course taster menu and although each portion seems small at first glance, over 5 courses it’s very filling. Our server Phoebe was lovely, very attentive and friendly. One thing to note is that I saw plenty of people wearing nice trainers. Wish I’d worn mine as my feet were sore after walking round the city centre but I didn’t think they’d be allowed. Good to know that they are!

Well I don’t normally give 5 stars as I always think there is room for improvement but giving anything less I would be wrong to. What an absolute beautiful experience we had with our afternoon tea, greeted by a talented pianist and staff who were so attentive. We chose our tea in a way I had never experienced before, the food was delicious and the scones were the best, still warm and with a little pastry crunch with every bite. I would highly recommend and very grateful to my daughter who gifted me this experience to try. Thank you to all the staff, you are doing a fabulous job x

The staff were friendly throughout and made the occasion feel very special.
We had the best seat right next to the pianist.
Antonio was so good and attended to our every need. Even bringing a surprise celebration plate for us.
The tea selection was great and the printers afternoon tea was very good.
There was a good choice of sandwiches, with fresh warm scones. The cake selection was fantastic and each one equally as gorgeous.
Would highly recommend for the money and place.

We came using a voucher I’d recieved for my Birthday for the 5 course tasting menu and we had the best evening.
The service from Stephanie and Phoebe was fantastic and the food was amazing.

Me and my partner came to Hotel Gotham for afternoon tea and we can safely say it’s one of the best we have ever tried.
Food:
The food is made up of 3 sections: Sandwiches, Cream Tea and Desserts.
The afternoon tea features a good variety of sandwiches (8 in total), although me and my partner are not accustom to fine dine tastes so many of the fillings were not for us, we asked if we could change this ham and cheese instead – which they did. They were absolutely delicious!
The afternoon tea features 4 scones in total (2 plain & 2 with sultanas) with clotted cream and strawberry jam – genuinely, the best scones I’ve ever had.
The desserts were amazing and you can select from a mini chocolate cake with a pistachio topping, lemon meringue cheesecake with raspberry, mango & coconut macaron and salted caramel & pretzel choux bun – all of them were stunning but the cheesecake was the standout – absolutely delicious.
Tea and water is unlimited.
Service:
The service was generally excellent. We were greeted at the door by a lovely concierge who directed us to the 6th floor. Upon arrival we met by a lovely restaurant manager who directed us to our table, our waitress was lovely, and very informative.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, it was very busy when we went but this added to the lovely experience. The decor is exquisite and the ambience matches the brand of the hotel. Windowsill could be a bit cleaner but apart from that, very positive.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone, great value for money and a nice day out!
