Inside Alley 51, honey buns 2 offer dumplings, and steam buns. I was able to quickly place my order and then I was given a buzzer to use while waiting. I only ended up having t o wait for around 3-4 minutes. I had the number 10-pork and shrimp dim sum. For $4.50, you get 5 pieces. I found them to have good flavor and they were juicy. The steam buns were teriyaki and bbq. I liked the texture of the bun and the sweetness of the meat. I do wish there was a bit more filling to bun ratio. The food was great and I will definitely come back and try more that they have to offer.

Just as good (tho much pricier) than the other location. Would recommend the buns, particularly the veggies and custard buns. Fried rice is solid but nothing special. There are a lot of allergy notices, which I appreciate!

I took a chance on this place, even though the staff was not friendly at all. As I was rushed to decide on a boba flavor, I made the terrible mistake of asking for the mango boba. It was sickeningly sweet and I felt like vomitting at the first sip!! I couldn’t believe what I had just swallowed. For your own safety, do NOT purchase any sort of drink here… unless you want an early ticket to diabetes town.

LOVE this spot for boba and a quick little bun (:
Feedback: this spot used to have multiple color straws for the boba and I miss it!! Please bring it back!

Guys, why are you asking for tips? I took the order myself, brought it to myself, and cleaned up after myself.

I was here just a few hours ago shortly before closing (04/23) and ordered the curry chicken. While tasting absolutely delicious, half way through eating I noticed that the chicken pieces (which are very large) were significantly pink and very obviously partially raw. It was definitely not the same as chicken on bone having blood leech in and stain it pink/red, the meat itself was entirely pink with a faint ombre of getting pinker towards the middle. I brought my food up to the counter to let them know that my chicken was raw but the man at the counter immediately said it was 100% cooked and is cooked for a long time in the curry sauce. Meanwhile, the girl who served my food was side eyeing him and my food with a very concerned/worried expression, but she didn’t say anything. Chicken slow cooked in a curry or sauce for the right amount of time and heat is not that color, it is stark white. This chicken was VERY pink and obviously undercooked and not just because of the lighting because I also shined my flashlight over it and had my friend double check as well. While the food was absolutely delicious, they are not cooking large chunks of chicken thoroughly. Please keep this in mind before ordering from here. I was offered something else instead but I just said no thanks and threw my food out, salmonella is not a risk I’m willing to take with my food.

I have eaten here before and it’s always very good but I ordered it on DoorDash today. Within three minutes of ordering, my order was cancelled by the restaurant. No reason, I also couldn’t find a phone number to call and ask why. Do not order from this place on DoorDash.

I love this place. Great dumplings, affordable boba and friendly staff. I’ve been here 3xs and it gets faster each time.
A note in the credit card charges. They charge a surcharge to use your card. The staff actually informed me of this before I swiped. I will say they need to be a bit more transparent about this.
Ally 51 has several vendors but this one is def a fave. I’d post a pic of the food but I devoured it

Hone Buns Cafeteria ll in the Alley 51 food court in Pineville is a great option for Chinese food without a long wait. After a day of shopping at the mall, just one block away, it’s the perfect place to wind down and eat before heading home.
Tried several items, and all were flavorful and cooked well. The chicken fried rice was good. The shrimp fried rice was good as well. The shrimp were fresh. And both rice dishes had good consistency and were not dried out like some rice dishes can be. But the star of the meal was Teriyaki chicken buns. The breading was soft and light but had a light sweetness that went perfectly with the chicken filling. The buns are definitely worth the trip to visit the food court.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is part of a collective Asian themed food court. It’s a cool place for kids and families as well.
The service was fast, friendly and professional.
The restaurant has a service charge for credit cards, which is becoming a thing with lots of smaller restaurants. But we paid cash to avoid any credit card surcharges.
There is free parking in the massive lot at the shopping center where the restaurant is located. The lot is well lit at night.
One cool feature about eating at Honey Buns Cafeteria ll is that you can enter from the adjacent grocery store with having to go back outside.
We definitely recommend the Teriyaki chicken buns. But they have a selection of different ones to choose from. Can’t wait to go back and try more menu items at Honey Buns Cafeteria ll.
