We tried Honest Coffee for the first time this morning and loved the experience. Honest is a cozy, little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Huntsville. We ordered a large drip coffee, a medium roast with origins in Guatemala and Colombia, and a Bootlegger latte with a house made bourbon salted caramel sauce. For breakfast I had the Breakfast Sandwich which was a bacon, egg, cheddar cheese and mayo on toasted sourdough. My wife has the Brie L.T. which was Brie cheese, spinach, bacon, tomato and mayo on toasted sourdough. Our coffees were great and my wife loved her sandwich! My sandwich was good, but would have preferred a fresh cracked egg. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely visit again!

Stopped by Honest Coffee Roasters on Clinton Avenue and found it to be a calm, inviting break from the busy street just outside. The atmosphere is subtly lit with light, unobtrusive music playing in the background, creating a comfortable space that feels relaxed but focused. It’s easy to see why many business professionals were settled in working on laptops during my visit.
They source their beans from Franklin, Tennessee, and offer a wide selection on site—from pastries and bottled drinks to water bottles, mugs, and multiple varieties of bagged Honest Coffee beans. The décor leans Americana, understated and warm without feeling forced.
I ordered the 12oz Bootlegger coffee with house-made bourbon caramel sauce, along with a breakfast sandwich featuring hickory-smoked bacon, eggs, and sharp cheddar on toasted sourdough. Both were well-executed and flavorful, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality and setting.
Friendly staff, quality coffee, and a calm atmosphere make this a solid stop if you’re looking for a quiet moment or a productive place to settle in downtown.

We enjoyed a wonderful visit to Honest Coffee Roasters. The coffee was excellent, the biscuit was delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
There were so many great choices to pick from, and the space itself makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. A great spot for quality coffee, good food, and a welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

This coffee shop is great overall. Staff is attentive and nice. The breakfast sandwich was excellent. Coffee was also delicious. They gave a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Menu is large for a coffee shop.
Downsides are the high prices and loud club style music. It’s distracting and obnoxious.

Went in for a quick coffee during a busy afternoon and ended up staying longer than planned. The place has a relaxed feel, not too loud, not too quiet, which I liked. I ordered a regular latte and a small pastry. Coffee tasted smooth and not burnt, which is honestly hit or miss at a lot of places. The pastry was fresh enough, maybe could’ve been a little warmer but still good. Staff was polite and didn’t rush anyone even with a small line forming. Prices felt fair for the quality and location. Seating was mostly clean, one table needed wiping but nothing major. Overall, a solid coffee shop I’d come back to when I’m in the area.

I took a picture of my turkey panini so that the public could see how much meat you will get for $13.25. Honest, I really think we can do better here. Let’s be real. That’s one tiny sliver of meat. We’re basically paying $13 for bread. Every time I get a sandwich here, this is what it looks like. I just don’t know why it needs to be this way. Is Honest really hurting for money in this busy town to where we can’t have meat on a sandwich? Just very disappointing.

Wonderful little coffee shop in beautiful downtown Huntsville. I got a drip regular coffee and an Americano. Both were very good. Also, very dog friendly area, if traveling with your furry family!

I love this place. It is on the other side of town from where I live, so when I’m on their side of town I’ll make sure I stop by. Coffee, food, and service is wonderful!
