This is a wonderful little place, very close to Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. Amazing selection of poke varieties and side dishes. My wife had the Slippery Hawaiian Poke with shoyu and sesame. I had the DHawaiian Poke plus the Wasabi Poke, more on the spicy side which I like. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

Absolutely amazing! The poke here is so fresh and delicious, with tons of options to choose from. They also have great local drinks, foods, and desserts, which really makes the experience stand out. This place is a MUST if you’re in Kona. The fish is so fresh and the poke might be the best I’ve ever had. I would also recommend the ube lemonade and haupia. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend!!

Delicious island food. We had the Keike (child) portions and they were still big portions. The Poke nachos and Ahi Katsu were ridiculously delish. The pineapple side was beyond delish.
The only reason I had service only 4 stars was because the Ahi took a bit longer to come out than most of the other dishes.

Friendly service, great food, good portions. The wifes kalua pig tacos were amazing. My Katsu Ahi was also amazing. Pricing was actually cheaper than town and more food. 5 stars, will be back!

Honaunau Poke Shop is such a hidden gem—don’t let the old store vibe fool you! The poke here is absolutely incredible. We were obsessed with the poke nachos and the regular poke bowls, especially with the wasabi and sriracha sauce—so flavorful and fresh. Pro tip: ask for extra sauce, it takes it to the next level. We loved it so much, we went back twice. Highly, highly recommend if you’re in the area—just get their poke nachos, and thank me later!

We ended up going for the traditional and for the Spicy Avocado. ✨
My only thing is to do the extra avocado side on a different container or else your ahi portion will be less since the avocado is in the same container. So I was a little disappointed that I paid extra for it and then I got less fish

Went with 7 people…from 21 to 66 years old…all have traveled a lot. AWESOME! The poke, fish tacos, and everything else was top shelf great. My wife and I have been coming to this Island yearly for 25 and gotta say this is our new favorite. Sure, we’re all haole who didn’t grow up on Auntie’s recipes, but this place may have stolen your Auntie’s or Tutu’s cuz it’s great!

If I could give 6 stars on everything I would. Super kind and amazing staff. Amazing food, we had the poke bowls and they were so fresh and so amazing. Couldn’t save time to take a pictures because of how amazing it looked and smelled. But I grabbed pictures of the poke menu. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything here, and if you could, they would tell you not to order it haha. Amazing experience and we are already planning our next stop back for our adventures tomorrow.

A really awesome spot for some delicious poke in a very laid back setting! If they sell out, they close early – “gone fishing”, so try to arrive early. The staff are friendly and helpful in figuring out all of their various options they have! Parking is limited.
