Wanted this to be a real alternative for duck but it was somewhat overcooked. The duck fried rice was excellent and the walnut shrimp was too. The soft shell crab was dreadful waaaay too much breading. The service was very attentive. So I think the key here is ordering more effectively.

Food was hot & ready for pickup. Combo fried rice had a good taste. Shrimp egg foo young was very good and so was the gravy, which wasn’t to thick. The patties were big a full.

We tried two kinds of Hong Kong Style Lo Mein (Duck & Shrimp) and they were delicious! The portions are really big so be ready for a lot of food. They have BBQ on their extensive menu which covers a good range of options. They have the family style tables with a revolving surface in the center so everyone can pick what they like from the dishes you order — I’m always a fan of these. Very clean, we will go again!

A second Chinese BBQ outpost in the pho-centric Argyle area, Hon Kee moved from its hole-in-the-wall abode to a substantially larger and more upscale room festooned with sparkling bright chandeliers. Fairly extensive Cantonese menu complimented by decent BBQ offerings. Though the Peking Duck here isn’t quite Sun Wah caliber, their menu dishes easily match if not better their neighbor’s, while often a buck or two cheaper even! In short, if you must have Peking Duck, go to Sun Wah, otherwise this is a most satisfying alternative.

Solid choice, though not clear it’s better than other options in the area. The BBQ and roasted pork and duck were bit bony and not super flavorful. The interior seemed nice and the service for takeout was good.

The on Choy is a not quite fresh and I feel like the wok is not cleaned properly before stir fry the veges. The chili sauce on the table taste a bit sour and doesn’t look good. The soy sauce chicken has large portion but just at average quality.
