I have not been to the restaurant for almost 10 years, the food, service and the atmosphere are still excellent! Especially the free beef bone soup in a kettle, brings back many good memories of home cooking…

I love going to this spot whenever I’m in Jersey! The restaurant gives out a broth before the cold noodles come out that’s warm and hearty. The staff is also very friendly and inviting. This has been our go-to cold noodle spot even though we are Queens native. Cant wait for our next visit!

long overdue review. honestly this is my husband and my favorite restaurant. i started going here with my husband’s family a couple years ago and fell in love immediately. it’s always been a pleasure and they recognize us and remember the little details about us. we feel like family and the food is SO. GOOD. one of the best things about this restaurant is that they serve hot fresh bone broth at every table that you can pour for yourself. delicious. their naeng myun is hands down the best. ever. service is impeccable and they are so warm.

Homung in Closter has become my favorite neighborhood go-to Korean restaurant. They use the freshest ingredients that I trust and feel good about eating. Everything on their menu is excellent but my personal favorites are cold noodle soup, hot beef short rib soup, marinated thinly sliced beef rib eye in broth, seafood pancakes, dumpling soup, etc. The new ownership is doing an excellent job in providing great Korean “soul” food. Thank you Homung and keep up the great work!

As an authentic Korean American born in Korea, I can genuinely tell when Korean food has an authentic taste—and this place absolutely does. I’ve visited four times over the last four months, and the flavor has been consistently excellent every single time.
I usually don’t eat spicy cold noodles (Bibim Naengmyeon) because they’re too spicy in Korea, but here the spice level is friendly and balanced. On top of that, the dish is full of flavor and incredibly tasty.
I also highly recommend the potato soup (Gamja-tang) and the small pan-fried shrimp patties called Saewoojeon.
A must-visit restaurant!

I’ve been going here since they opened in 1996(?). The owners have changed a few times since, but the nangmyung recipe has remained the same. I love that the newest owners added the mixed nangmyun (mool bim nangmyun/ 물빔냉면) to the menu. Was always torn between either the mool or bibim nangmyun and now I get the best of both worlds. Also, the way they do the egg topping is chef’s kiss

regularly drive here from NYC year round because imo it’s the best naengmyeon in the tri state area. Nicest people, best food, legit one of my favorite restaurants
