Goa Indian Restaurant at Broughty Ferry has a really nice ambience. It can get busy, even on weekdays, so sometimes you might have to wait a bit to finish your meal, but it’s usually worth it. The food is generally very good and reasonably priced. All the staff are humble and welcoming, making you feel comfortable throughout your visit. There’s a charming guy working there who’s from Bangalore — it’s always nice to see friendly faces like his.
We tried quite a few dishes on our visit. The biryani was fluffy and aromatic, with tender meat and a perfect blend of spices. The soup was rich and flavorful, a great way to start the meal. Anusha really enjoyed the soft, freshly baked rotis that complemented the curries, each with its own unique taste and just the right level of spice. We also had starters like Indian snacks and kebabs, along with warm, buttery naan — everything was full of flavor and had a nice spicy kick. Definitely a great place for authentic Indian food.

Food and service here is absolutely brilliant. The food is top tier, and very accommodating. The service is brilliant, always checking for drinks and water on table etc.

Had a booking for 8.30pm Saturday… had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Service was efficient but felt it was a bit too much, constantly coming over to check if we were ready to order then once ordered how is food etc.. Food not as good as previous visits, felt the lamb was a bit tasteless tbh. Atmosphere was lively but expected as it was Saturday before Xmas. By 10pm felt as if we were getting pushed out the door…. kept coming over and asking if we wanted the bill whilst we were still enjoying our wine! Started moving and resetting the tables around us, taking out rubbish etc….. Here’s your hat, what’s your hurry won’t be returning any time soon unfortunately.

Friendly staff were welcoming as I dined alone. I had the mushroom pakora to start and the veggie korma with garlic naan as main. Serving sizes were a bit large but the flavors aromatic and delicate. Totally worth the experience! Will return!

What a lovely experience we had last night at GOA restaurant! The extensive menu, the impeccable service and the food that is no doubt sent from the Heavens! The flavours are still with me the next day, fresh in my mind, that is what all restaurants should be aiming for. Well done GOA, see you again soon! 11/10!

Very deposited with the service last night. Had a table booked in for 730 (arrived and ordered by about 7:15), didn’t receive the starter unit nearly 2 hours later at 9.00, so left hungry after waiting way to long for only a starter and no main.
Disappointed as it was our first time dining here.

Hands down the best Indian if not restaurant in the city. We have not had a bad experience and visit monthly. The home style curries are fantastic, fish pakora is a must try! I have yet to try better (huge portion). The staff are also what make it, service is always efficient.
