Pearland Hometown Bar & Grill is absolutely spectacular. From the amazing bar staff to the incredibly caring and hospitable ownership, this establishment truly stands out. Every visit is consistent, fun, and welcoming.
We may not be frequent regulars, but whenever we do come in, we’re always greeted with the same warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is great, the drinks are fantastic, and the staff is always positive and attentive—whether you’re sitting at the bar or enjoying table service while watching a live performance.
This place never disappoints. If you’re looking for good food, great drinks, and a lively yet welcoming environment, Pearland Hometown Bar & Grill is definitely the place to be.

This place is great.. had never been, went there with a group of 8 people.. all of us cleared our plate, and there were 6 different meals.. the service was on point, drink not get low enough to have to ask for another before it was served. friendly staff, while attentive also.. food was hot, delicious and worth the price by far. Cajun pasta is heavenly.. its most likely gonna be the Monday nights place to go for a while..

Been there a few times on Friday nite because I enjoy singing karaoke. But I have had issues with BJ the DJ before…and once again I had issues with him tonite. Everything else is great—good food, amazing energy and good staff. So tonite I request a song(J Lou) and I expect to wait because there are lots of good singers there every week. But once the DJ starts saying you are coming up next…then why are you going to put in 3 or 4 more people up there(including the owner’s girlfriend). That should NOT matter! If you are told you are going up next…then you should be up next. No favoritism or give VIP pass to some regulars. BJ the DJ did that to me awhile back and I told him that time and tonite about that. I am very straightforward and I am NOT with that. Also the music is way too loud when you are on stage…the audio levels obviously are not right. It does sound good out there from the spectators POV but that definitely is off too. This is why I don’t go there as much as I would on a Friday nite. I have seen some other bad reviews on him too…they need to rethink the format and sound quality on karaoke nites. Just being honest…and there are many other karaoke options around town. I am always

I truly wanted to enjoy my experience at Hometown Sports Bar and Grill. The staff was warm and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and the environment itself was enjoyable. Cass was amazing! The space features pool tables, plenty of TVs for watching games, and music that added energy to the experience—though the playlist seemed geared toward a younger crowd.
As for the food, it didn’t quite meet expectations. The Pizza Fries had potential, but the potatoes were undercooked, which detracted from the dish. The Old Fashioned was flavorful but not prepared in the traditional style—it included an unusual spice that I found unexpected. You don’t muddle cherries in a old fashion and it seemed to have allspice added to the drink. While it wasn’t unpleasant, it didn’t match my expectations for the drink.
The wings had great flavor, but the texture was disappointing; they weren’t as crispy as I prefer and leaned toward being a bit soggy. I was also concerned with how quickly they arrived. I know wings aren’t something that can be properly prepared in just a few minutes, which raised questions about their cooking process.
While there were positives, the overall experience didn’t quite meet my hopes. With some adjustments to the food and perhaps a broader appeal in the music selection, I believe this place could better match its friendly and inviting atmosphere. We sat at the bar and went about 1pm on a weekday so almost empty. The service was quick, the bartender was courteous and check out us several times. I ordered the blacked catfish, the veggies was tender but was seasonedless. The sauce was tart buttery taste with a hint of lemon, I liked it. The fish was blackened but wasn’t seasoned without the sauce. The fried mushrooms was good, was crispy and fried well, it came with a buttermilk ranch, you could taste the buttermilk. My husband’s club with sweet potatoes fries, the fries was cooked well, not soggy had a perfect crunch. He didn’t complain and the club, tasted like a club no special sauce, just mayo and cheese. The barbie margaritas was strong, tasted the liquor. My husband had 2 beers. We paid 70$ for it all

We love this place! Food is great . Fridays nights are the best with BJ the DJ on Karaoke nights. He does an awesome job of keeping up with the crowds and the rotations. This place even caters when needed. Our lunch was definitely a hit when they catered to my work office in Webster.

Great spot for a fun time! They have amazing food, employees, and entertainment. I mainly go for Karaoke night on Fridays and BJ the DJ always keeps the party going. He keeps a pretty fair rotation bc Hometown has so many fun and talented singers. It’s always a great time!

This is a cool little neighborhood bar. LOTS of tv’s. The food selection was good. Standard bar type food and prices. The egg rolls were good, mozzarella sticks were nice and crunchy and cheesy. Wings were fried and then grilled for that extra little crunch. I had the shrimp sliders.. delicious.

I’ve been coming to this spot for years. The karaoke is what keeps bringing me back. We drive from Katy Texas because honestly BJ puts on the best show.
I don’t think some people know how hard it is to run a karaoke show, I did it for 10 years. Bj is always cordial and tries his hardest to make everyone happy. I will say that BJ has always been fair with his rotation and does it exactly how you are supposed to do. I have seen people go up there and ask him to sing in front of everybody and he is actually let them do it so I know he will work with you and make it fun. He is human though. I was also there one night when a drunk idiot threw his drink all over BJ’s machines, I will say that the BJ I know which is a Christian is the guy that came out that night and said you know what that guy will be punished for what he did but I’m gonna forgive him. You can’t leave a review just because you’re mad and trying to ruin somebody’s livelihood as their job Because you don’t get your way. You are just one person there’s 30 to 40 singers that you have to make happy. I have had many conversations with this guy.
We all make mistakes, but he has always represented Hometown as his home. There’s not a better karaoke show around. Fact!
