From the moment we walked in, the staff’s kindness was unmistakable. This is an Albanian-run establishment and you can feel the heart behind everything they do. Warm, genuine hospitality that doesn’t feel forced or transactional is rare to encounter these days. These are real people who care.
Rita was our server, and I’m not exaggerating when I say she is a gift from God. Attentive without hovering, kind without pretense, and deeply caring in a way that makes you feel seen. We talked about food, faith, family and the importance of Gods call upon our lives. This is the kind of service that reminds you of what hospitality is supposed to be: creating a safe and warm environment where we can be our truest most authentic selves while breaking bread together.
The food? Outstanding. Everything came out hot, fresh, and generous. They were not skimpy, dainty portions, but hearty, filling, and fully satisfying. My belly is delightfully content. I asked for authentic Albanian food (given the fact that it is run by full-blooded Albanian geniuses) and I had the Grosh (bean soup), Lakra Te Mbushura (aka stuffed cabbage) and boiled potatoes. WOW!
You can tell this place is run with pride, care, and integrity. If you value warmth, generosity, and food that actually feeds you, then this is a spot you do not want to skip. We’ll absolutely be back.
The banana fosters french toast is heavenly. We also had the biscuits and gravy which were equally delicious.
If you haven’t been, you are missing out. I’d love to pack this place up and take it home with me.
We had a group of four and got the Mac and cheese dinner, stuffed cabbage dinner, a pork chop dinner, and a seasonal grilled shrimp salad (which was on a special menu for the Lenten season!). Dinners came with a choice of soup or salad, and a dessert from a select menu.
We’ll be visiting family again in the summer and are sure to come back when we do!
No frills breakfast. Good deal! $8.45
