I just stopped by Hometown Dumpling, a new spot opening in the Chinatown market in Salt Lake City. It looks like they’re still in a soft opening phase and don’t have their hours posted yet, but if you happen to be walking by, I highly recommend stopping in.
The food was very, very good and absolutely hit the spot. The menu is a little limited right now, which is totally understandable during a soft opening—but honestly, everything I ordered was so delicious that it didn’t matter.
I’m really excited to see the full menu when it’s available and to find out their regular hours, because this is definitely a place I’m going to want to come back to often.
If you’re in the Chinatown market and see they’re open, it’s well worth stopping in

Honestly, a great place hasn’t officially fully opened to their menu but everything that they’re offering at this time is fantastic highly recommend, especially for a great date night idea small quaint vibes with an relaxing atmosphere and reasonable pricing for not only Bao but also authentic fried dumplings appetizers handmade noodles and steamed Bao Haven’t tried the handmade Wonton yet but also looks really really good. Definitely a great new addition to the Chinatown marketplace.

Exactly what we wanted when the hubby and I were craving soup dumplings. Pretty much as good as Din Tai Fung. Hubby says the salted egg custard bao was the best he’s ever had. Service was very fast and the waitress was sweet and attentive.
