Good food and amazing service. Best banana pudding I’ve ever had. They have a good salad and food selection, and a few desserts. Everyone kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. Also nice atmosphere and is very clean. The only con I would have to say about this place is that it seems a bit pricey. For two people (two adult buffets and two drinks) cost $38.

Food was not as advertised and extremely bland. If you are going to put the menu out twice a day, you should know if you don’t have the ingredients. Salad bar was okay until you decided to put some dressing on it. The dressings tasted like they had been watered down. Water was disgusting even after adding lemon juice and sweetener. The service fee for using a credit card is ridiculous.

I’ve been twice & will definitely be going back ! Very good home style freshly cooked food & very reasonable priced for a Buffet with the selection of different foods available including deserts & your drink ! Huge salad bar , constantly kept clean & a great selection of topping to make a superb salad ! Unheard of around here or anywhere close ! I also had carry out & even that is reasonably priced . Fresh food on bar & if running low , replenished immediately . Employees friendly & checking on needs of customer , drinks refilled before out & that’s a biggy with me , empty dishes on table don’t last long here , waitresses & waiters remove them in a very timely manner ! Very clean restaurant & bathroom as well ! No waiting to receive your check & being checked out either ! I definitely will give them one of the highest reviews & will be coming back often ! Honestly you can’t go to a fast food place & get a large combo for a few dollars less than this !

Food is absolutely amazing. Customer service is questionable. Young high school girls, who probably never worked before.. Which is great but they need to work on their friendliness. Hostess, Jalyn giving us the go-to hell look, In customer service.. Sometimes you need to fake a positive attitude, even when it hurts.. She could work on that. We also got charged extra for a to-go drink, which is absolutely absurd, Only place in town that does this.. Your not going to go broke over $3 or $4 dollars, its frozen water, liquid and a Styrofoam cup. Whoever are the cooks of this place are absolute all stars!!

Great hometown place! Try to keep it local when we want to eat. The atmosphere is great, as well as service. Was surprised to find so many choices. Great salad selection, and everything was fresh. Will watch the specials and return! The seafood buffet on Friday night and Saturday is amazing!!

We were there for lunch yesterday. (Tuesday) . The staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly. We had the best server. The tables and chairs were clean, as well as the buffet. The food was hot to warm and their was plenty of choices. The meatloaf was so good and flavorful. Not dried out. The chicken poppyseed was sooo smooth and delicious. All sides were great. The salad bar was clean . The lettuce was fresh and the vegetables had full flavor. The dessert was good. The price for lunch was well worth it. You would pay more for fast food with no nutritional value. The fact it is all you can it is amazing. We are so thankful Home Town Buffet is here in Selmer. Great job! We are anxiously waiting for gift cards to purchase for gifts for our friends.

Not overly impressed their web site says open on Sunday 5pm to 9pm. Wanted to try their food everyone says it’s good and worth the time however I would not be able to verify this due to the inaccuracies of their web site hours. Wasted 2 hours drive time just for the disappointment of reading CLOSED on their door….

We are from another closeby town. Pulled into front of restaurant and it said “Blue Plate Special $10.95”. My wife and I go in and eat the buffet only going to buffet one time. When we went to pay the total was $43.38 for 2 people. When I questioned the girl at the register about the price she called over the owner. He said the $10.95 was weekdays only. . No where in the restaurant or on the windows did it state “$10.95 weekdays only” HE never offered to charge us the price he had on the front window. FALSE ADVERTISING We will never go back.

We decided to tey Hometown Buffet tonight for the 1st time and Wow!! WHAT a pleasant surprise and change!! Selmer needed a new restaurant and this is it!! VERY clean, staff very friendly and food was great! Sampled just a few things but wonderful salad bar, delicious fried chicken, pork chops, chicken livers and all the fixins to choose from! Desserts were just as appealing!! We will be back and soon!!
