I drove an hour for my uncle’s 80th birthday. I’ve never been to the homestead, but man, what a beautiful setup. The service was great, and everything turned out perfect. Thank you guys for opening your doors so that my uncle could enjoy himself. The food was superb as well. If I am ever back that way, I would definitely come by again for a meal.

The building is so cool! Decorations are homey and comfortable. Very large space and plenty of room to wait or browse.
Their candle and scent selection is impressive.
I got the filet and it was excellent. Cooked perfectly and tasty. The chocolate chess pie was delicious. I could have eaten more than just one slice.
I have to say my most favorite thing was the atmosphere and the other guests. Even the people sitting next to us said “good night” when they left and we loved the 10 month old baby girl who was with her family across from us. I can’t say I’ve had a more thoroughly enjoyable dinner in decades.
Our server was Heather and she was attentive, never left us waiting and was so sweet.
We’ll definitely make Homestead a regular rotation from here on out.

My wife ordered the flounder and shrimp.I ordered the big seafood platter for my birthday and was very disappointed. No seasoning at all and it was flavorless. I knew the cashier would ask how was everything and so I told him it was very bland. His response was “oh really”? Ok that will be $67.00. we started not to go there because last few times the buffet was pretty lame with very dry chicken and very few options for main dishes. I had to pay almost $70 for seafood to take home and try to season and reheat it. Should have just gone to Danville to Me’s Burgers. They are always delicious.

Great Local place to eat.. this review is about their buffet it’s not bad by any means but at around $18 it is about the same price as the Golden Corral but with less choices.. Our waitress was Tina and she was a 10 out of 10 took care of the whole group and made us feel welcome! You can tell she had it all under control and made it seem effortless! thank you again! Buffet choices to name some are

Natalie is my favorite waitress. But everyone there is extremely attentive. This has been my favorite restaurant since i moved to Roxboro. The salad bar is the best! I’ve not gotten Nc anything off the menu that wasn’t cooked to perfection. And the little store is total Cracker Barrel vibes, only CHEAPER!

We have been going to Homestead for a number of years. We lived about 35-40 minutes away and would make the trek over to the steakhouse because the food and atmosphere is good. They have a lot of space, particularly nice for the holiday season or for a birthday. They do run special events here, so it’s worth checking the calendar. We especially love the salad bar which is well stocked and fresh.
In more recent years there have been some things that have raised my eyebrows about the culture and community of eating here. I wonder if certain people/ groups would be welcome. I’m sure, by some, that it might be argued that is the point, but if I was a person looking for or who had concerns about such issues, I would consider carefully before going to this space.

Drove all the way here for a Chicken wings buffet + Salad Bar – it was fantastic… It’s like a mom and pop Cracker Barrel type of place and it was a pretty cool place to try out.. Enjoyed with the family tonight! We will be back when we’re in the area again.

A hidden gem for new travelers in the area. A local favorite for the rest of us. Pair a Filet with the huge salad bar and you’re set. The customer service is top tier, one of the few places where waitresses are treated like family. They also have a gift store with homemade pies before you check out!
