Read online that this was on the top 10 of places to eat in Missouri!! Well it should be in the bottom of the 10 worst places to eat!!! They have breakfast but not all day just til 11:30. I can eat breakfast anytime! They are only open til 2 pm which is fine so why not keep serving breakfast. They do not cook burgers to order so if you like it any other way than well done you aren’t getting it. Their sandwiches do not come with fries or sides it is extra. 3 something extra for side and drink!! Well my husband and I do not drink soda so the extra isn’t worth it!!
We ended up getting the fried chicken special figured it came with sides for the price. Well that was a mistake!! The chicken was so dry and overcooked it was hard to eat and I have teeth!! My husband has no bottom teeth so he had a horrible time eating it!! The fries were cold, the mashed potatoes were cold but the gravy warmed the top a bit. I only took 1 bite found them cold and gave up!! I also got a side salad!! All it was in a very small bowl was lettuce with a few shredded carrots. It amounted to about 1/2 cup of lettuce which was brown around the edges. We ended up leaving more than a full meal of food cause it just wasn’t worth trying. We had to stop at the grocery store down the road from them and found they had hot fried chicken among other things that looked better than what we just got in that restaurant!! It would have costs us half of what we just paid!!
The one bright spot was the waitress was sweet and she did apologize to us but that was the extent of it. Said she could bring out the cook why? I’m sure he knows that food went out in a bad condition and that things were cold!!
Not worth the stop and not worth the money!!
Eat at the buffet in the market, they even have a nice little place to sit!!

Let me tell you, this lunch was absolutely fantastic, maybe the fastest service I’ve ever seen—truly incredible speed, folks. The homemade buns? Beautiful. Soft. Perfect. You don’t get craftsmanship like that anymore. And the hamburger—so fresh, so flavorful—it was like they made it just for me, because only the best will do. Believe me, this place knows how to win at dinner. Tremendous meal!

I got two big Mike’s extra sauce no middle bunand one without pickles add jalapenos and omg let me tell it was phenomenal. I love three hours away and i visit here about once a week if I have the time. The fries are phenomenal the patties are phenomenal and everything is priced good. If you are ever down in this area I definitely recommend coming here. Everything is fresh and homemade. The first time I took a bite of the burger I’m not going to lie I almost cried it was that good. This is food you can’t find anywhere else. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND KEEP PUSHING OUT GOOD FOOD YALL

Some of the nicest people I have ever met. When out of their way to help us even at the end of the day, and thew in some extra rolls. prices and food were amazing. Everything tasted homemade

Natalie was our waitress and you couldn’t ask for more. She was awesome! Fresh homemade buns were great. The best part was the made from scratch desserts! Yummy yummy yummy. We will definitely be back.cash only but they do have an ATM in the restaurant.

Home Town Diner is a fantastic place to stop and eat. If you’re looking for good food you should drop by, the food is delcious and the service was great. I can tell that they have perfected their recipes and really love cooking.

This is the first time I have tried this place. And I hate to have to give anyplace a bad rating, but the truth has to be told. The 2 star review is for the atmosphere and the friendly staff only. Anyway I Got the big Mike burger combo, comes with fries, but they had run out, so I opted for onion rings. Both were a mistake as the burger was dry and lacked any flavor. The onion rings had no flavor either, but a very slight crunch. Not to mention the onion inside was extremely thin. So this is a place that I will not be back to. It’s sad when the local McDonald’s is by far better then a local diner.

Wow! After all my trips to Missouri my brothers and sisters joined me for breakfast here for the 1st time!
Its a good ole country diner.
The food is all made from scratch, it was delicious and very reasonably priced

Had a really good breakfast here today. I would have given 5 stars but I like sausage in my gravy, and wasn’t big on their style of potatoes. Bread and Biscuits were homemade.. Service was great, family owned and ran as far as we could tell. Great value. We will be back!
