Never Again. Ordered 2 sandwiches online. The grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and the meatball with tots. The chicken sandwich was the flat and salty. The meatball was good but small. Given the color of the tots and waffle fries, I feel that they were deep fried in motor oil plus they were cold. They also got the order wrong.

Just know that if you are over the age of 21 and have a vertical ID, they won’t let you order any sort of alcoholic drink. Says it’s a county rule, yet I’ve been to multiple places in cobb county and have been able to order alcohol. Food was okay, the mac and cheese didn’t have a lot of flavor. Shrimp roll was decent. Server was good and attentive. Just very let down with the experience.

Excellent service and food. Stopped in for lunch, I had the tuna poke bowl which was awesome the rest of the family had hand held sandwiches which they also loved. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Waited over 40 minutes for dessert and the check. Our server, Gabrielle T., repeatedly made eye contact with us and then actively avoided the table—we ultimately had to stop her elsewhere in the dining area to get the check. She told us dessert would be out in “two minutes.” Ten minutes later, another server checked on it, and we finally received dessert several minutes after that.
In total, we sat nearly ~60 minutes after the main course was delivered with no refills and no table service, despite visible staff on the floor. There was no manager presence that we could see. The food was also noticeably worse than on our previous visit, when it had been good.
We understand kitchens get backed up on busy nights, that’s normal. What isn’t acceptable is customers being ignored and avoided. Meanwhile, there were crowds waiting at the door and people smoking directly at the entrance. This place feels like it’s trying to operate as a sports bar rather than a restaurant, and service clearly isn’t the priority.

I have tried and tried to enjoy Home Tavern for years. I like to sit outside which is non smoking but some people have ruined the outdoor patio, both the covered patio and outdoor patio by having total disregard for other people. It is disgusting and smells like an ash tray, lots of ash trays. Sickening. There are cigarette butts all over. Pretty clear the establishment does not care about their cleanliness. The service is always slow and most of the servers seem like it is an annoyance to serve. Well, find a new job. The server took 15 minutes to finally show up and great me, today. No other customers were inside nor outside. Once I ordered an appetizer it arrived quickly. The server never came back. I would have walked out, but I am not that kind of person. The cocktails are top notch. The food is good. Regardless of good drinks and food, the atmosphere, the lack of care, the slow service have made this my last visit.

This was our first time here. We weren’t greeted until I walked up for a menu, but we were early on a Friday late afternoon, so I’m okay with that. No problem.

We saw that others knew each other as they came in. Nice! A good local spot to drop in. Live music later in the evening.
We got drinks, wine, and appetizers, and enjoyed the food.

We want to love the food here- the service is great- lots of tv’s to play favorite games, good drinks and bar vibe and it is close to home. All so great- but the food? It always makes me question why I chose to come to eat? Maybe for all of the positives I listed above. The food is greasy, the wings undercooked (think flabby chicken skin) and the salads over dressed. I wish I loved it – because if it weren’t for the food we would be here all of the time.

Our food was amazing but our server was not. We had to keep reminding her of things we ordered and had not received or things she had just not put the order in for. (Yep she told us she had not put it in) it was not busy when we went for lunch on a Sunday. I know good servers are hard to find. I would have been happier to have a tablet at the table and order from it to avoid the server all together.
