Very comfortable and cozy but, MY GOD, the burgers are half pounders! Very nicely seared and juicy with a soft homemade bun that just soaks up that delicious beef flavor. My partner loved her Vegetable Beef Soup. Thick and beefy with a myriad of veggies. My Sausage Gravy and Biscuits could have had bigger chunks of sausage. However, the incredibly soft, pillow-like texture of the biscuits more than made up for it. Also appreciated that the Cheese Curds were baked instead of deep-fried. Not as greasy and the texture is superior. Sadly didn’t get a chance to sample some of the decadent looking pastries in the front case.Oh, also need to mention that this is without a doubt, one of the most reasonably priced menu I’ve ever seen. Lanesboro has an abundance of great restaurants. Sometimes the smaller packages have the best surprises. Well done and we’ll be back soon!

Nestled in the bluff country of Lanesboro, Minnesota is Home Sweet Home Cafe and Cakery. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is small town. The Cinnamon rolls are some of the best I have had. The Sunday breakfast buffet is well stocked with just about everything that you could want. Service is very friendly and attentive. worth the drive.

They offer simple but great breakfast here. The hash browns are cooked to perfection and the omelettes are amazing!
The atmosphere is classic diner vibes and the staff and locals are incredibly nice and welcoming!
I would highly recommend for anyone who is staying in town or passing through for a great sit down breakfast.

What a delightful place to stop in for a delicious snack! I tried the cranberry pie – which I didn’t even know existed. It was perfect in fresh cranberry flavor and tartness while just enough sweet to make it a perfect slice of pie! A truly delicious treat! Service was very kind and unpretentious. We’ll be returning again for sure!

First (and last ) time coming to this restaurant. I ordered lemonade, I took one drink, it had a funny taste so I asked for something else to drink. The (very nice) server took the lemonade away and was going to bring back a rootbeer instead for me. A minute later, an (extremely rude) lady came out of the kitchen and said “do you want water instead? There is nothing wrong with this lemonade, I just made it yesterday.” I said “no it just tastes funny to me and I would like something else to drink. I think I’m going to go eat somewhere else.” She responded “yeah, I think that’s a good idea.” In all my years, I’ve NEVER been treated this way. Horrible customer service. Highly recommend avoiding this restaurant completely.

It is a gorgeous day and I was absolutely not “disgruntled”. I had actually just landed a really big job and was looking to celebrate a little with eating lunch out. We asked the server if we could do lunch yet, at 15 minutes before 11am, he checked with the kitchen helper and let us know that we could. Her argumentative tendencies are showing her true colors. Again, AVOID! Highly recommend Clara’s Eatery. Food, staff, and owner are amazing.

A great spot for weekend breakfast. We did the breakfast buffet on a Sunday morning, and everything was wonderful. The service was friendly and quick to get us any additional items needed. You must get a rhubarb roll if available, it is delicious!

Breakfast was fantastic. Probably one of the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Prices average around $12/person. Coffee was pretty basic. Hashbrowns were perfect. Omelet was great. Biscuits and gravy was good. Will definitely come back again!

We ordered lemonade, which tasted funny. The waiter was nice and was apologetic, but a lady from the kitchen came out and told us nothing was wrong with it and they would just give us water. Will not be returning. Horrible customer service.

This is the small town cafe you want to have breakfast at! We really enjoyed our breakfast (the continental breakfast at our nearby hotel was lackluster). The homemade jelly was a nice touch. Not a fancy spot to be sure, but food and service were welcoming and pleasing!

The buffet offered an impressive spread, and I was delighted with every dish I sampled. The fact that most of their food is made from scratch, using their own recipes, is a testament to their commitment to quality and freshness. I highly recommend giving it a try!
